Generating TV summaries for CE-devices

Automatically generated summaries of TV content are indispensable for content selection and navigation in CE-devices. We show two different types of summaries: Short video trailers and visual overviews consisting of representative frames. The demo does not only show the feasibility of the proposed algorithms, but also shows how different types of generated summaries can be used in future CE-devices.

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Juvera ezera vides kvalitāte”. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt, analizēt un raksturot Juvera ezera vides kvalitāti. Teorētiskajā daļā tika analizēts dabas ūdeņu fizikāli ķīmiskais sastāvs un to ietekmējošie faktori, iespējamie piesārņojuma avoti un to veidi ūdeņos, eitrofikācijas process, ezeru tipoloģiskais iedalījums, Juvera ezers un tā sateces baseins. Rezultātu daļā analizēti Juvera ezera piesārņojumu radošie avoti, ezera hidroķīmiskie parametri, trofijas stāvoklis un to ietekmējošie faktori. The human ability to implement a sustained attention task is supported by brain networks that dynamically formed and dissolved through oscillatory synchronization. In diagnostic histopathology, hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining is a critical process that highlights salient histological features. Staining results vary between laboratories regardless of the histopathological task, although the method does not change. This variance can impair the accuracy of algorithms and histopathologists’ time-to-insight. Investigating this variance can help calibrate stain normalization tasks to reverse this negative potential. Alternative analysis of transient infiltration experiment to estimate soil water repellency

The repellency index (RI) defined as the adjusted ratio between soil‐ethanol, Se, and soil‐water, Sw, sorptivities estimated from minidisk infiltrometer experiments has been used instead of the widely used water drop penetration time and molarity of ethanol drop tests to assess soil water repellency. Web-sovellukset ovat suosittu kohde pahansuoville hyökkäyksille. Yleisissä web-sovelluksista voi löytyä useita haavoittuvuuksia vuoden aikana, joten on tärkeää päivittää sovelluksia aktiivisesti, jos niihin tulee tietoturvapäivityksiä. Harvoin näissä sovelluksissa on kuitenkaan automaattisia päivityksiä, joten järjestelmien päivittäminen on usein käyttäjän harteilla. Jos järjestelmä joutuu hyökkäyksen kohteeksi, sitä ei pelkästään saateta käyttää sivuston omistajaa vastaan, vaan myös aiheuttamaan haittaa sen käyttäjille.
