Educación artística : revista de investigación

2020

Idiopathic Seidlmayer's Purpura: A Case Report

2014

Acute hemorrhagic edema of infancy (AHEI) was considered a rare form of Henoch-Schönlein purpura; however, it is now regarded as an independent disease typically involving patients aged 4-24 months. The authors describe the clinical case of a toddler aged 8 months, with skin erythematous pomphoid lesions, treated at home with topical steroids without benefits. The appearance of new lesions and the worsening of the previous skin signs induced the parents to drive the child to the hospital. The medical history revealed the administration of a vaccine dose 2 months before.

DSM-5 ¿Qué modificaciones nos esperan?

2013

Intuitive parenting performance - the embodied encounter with Art

2009

Intersubjectivity experiences established between adults and infants are partially determined by the particular ways in which adults are active in front of babies. An important amount of research focuses on the “musicality” of infant-directed speech (well-defined melodic contours, tonal and rhythm variations, etc.) and its role in linguistic enculturation. However, more recently, researchers have suggested that adults bring also a multimedia performance to infants. According to this, some scholars seem to find in that multimedia stimulation indicators of the genesis of the performing arts (as music and dance). In spite of these speculations, the way in which the parental performance is rela…

Self-regulation and Beyond: Affect Regulation and the Infant–Caregiver Dyad

2016

In the available psychological literature, affect regulation is fundamentally considered in terms of self-regulation, and according to this standard picture, the contribution of other people in our affect regulation has been viewed in terms of socially assisted selfregulation. The present article challenges this standard picture. By focusing on affect regulation as it unfolds in early infancy, it will be argued that instead of being something original and fundamental, self-regulation developmentally emerges from the basis of a further type of affect regulation. While infants’ capacities in recognizing, understanding, and modifying their own affective states are initially immature and undeve…

Oral pigmented lesions:a retrospective analysis from Brazil

2020

Background Pigmented lesions are uncommon in the oral mucosa, and studies investigating the incidence and types of these lesions are desired to improve the diagnostic knowledge of clinicians. The aim of this study was to analyze the distribution of oral pigmented lesions in a Brazilian population. Material and Methods A retrospective descriptive cross-sectional study was performed. Oral pigmented lesions were retrieved from the files of two oral and maxillofacial pathology services from Brazil over a 45-year period (1974-2019).
