Kvittering av analyseresultater som hensiktsmessig metode for kvalitetssikring av svaroppfølging i sykehus EPJ
2016
Masteroppgave i helse- og sosialinformatikk- Universitetet i Agder, 2016 Background Laboratory results are essential in modern patient treatment, and follow up of test results is crucial to ensure the quality of patient care. Despite this more than 43 000 lab results were unsigned in the electronic healh record (EHR) at Oslo University Hospital (OUS) in April 2016. One of the main objectives of this study has been to identify the causes of missing signing of test results among physicians involved in patient treatment. Method A questionnaire was used for data collection from a selection of 585 physicians at OUS, of which 182 responded to the survey. Elements from the theory models Leawitt di…

Masteroppgave i helse- og sosialinformatikk HSI 500 Universitetet i Agder 2014 Implementation of personnel staffing and scheduling information systems receives growing attention both nationally and internationally. Goals include improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of scheduling activities. Standardized scheduling activities, is expected to improve the quality of management information. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of Gat as a personnel staffing and scheduling information system at Sørlandet Sykehus HF. Data material was gathered through a quantitative survey based on defined scheduling activities through the RAPS-tutorial. The questions were catego…
Kvalitetsindikatorer for kreftbehandling : erfaringer til mellomledere i sykehus
2014
Masteroppgave i helse- og sosialinformatikk HSI 500 Universitetet i Agder 2014 Background: During the last couple of years, the government has increased their attention on quality indicators and measures that can contribute towards improving cancer- diagnosis and treatment. Quality indicators were in 2011 approved for initiation of treatment within 20 days for lung, breast, and colon cancer. Given this, it is conducted a qualitative study with assistant managers in a hospital. The purpose of the study is to increase knowledge and understanding of how assistant managers are affected by quality indicators. The aim of the study is to illustrate assistant managers’ experience with quality indic…
En kartlegging av teknologiske hjelpemidler til personer med nyoppdaget demens
2014
Masteroppgave i helse- og sosialinformatikk HSI 500 Universitetet i Agder 2014 The main objective of the national program of welfare technology is that welfaretechnological solutions will be an integrated part of the health and care services within 2020.Several projects in this program will include safety packages. Before technological tools areimplemented, a survey regarding the needs and challenges should be conducted. The presentstudy has focused on people with dementia and their relatives, because in 2040, the number ofpeople with dementia is expected to double.Welfare technological solutions can be divided into three parts: fall, isolation, and cognitiveimpairment. Thus, the current st…
Escape planning in realistic fire scenarios with Ant Colony Optimisation
2014
Published version of an article from the journal:Applied Intelligence Also available on Springerlink: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10489-014-0538-9 An emergency requiring evacuation is a chaotic event, filled with uncertainties both for the people affected and rescuers. The evacuees are often left to themselves for navigation to the escape area. The chaotic situation increases when predefined escape routes are blocked by a hazard, and there is a need to re-think which escape route is safest. This paper addresses automatically finding the safest escape routes in emergency situations in large buildings or ships with imperfect knowledge of the hazards. The proposed solution, based on Ant Colony …
ANÁLISIS DE LOS HOTELES DE ALTA CATEGORÍA DE CROACIA DESDE EL ENFOQUE HOTEL-HUÉSPED
2011
Ontology based study planning and classification of university subjects
2015
Masteroppgave informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi - Universitetet i Agder, 2015 This is first and foremost a research project into study planning at the University of Agder. What tools are available for students now, and can an ontology help make it easier? Having a plan for your education is important, and not having proper tools for this can be a frustration for many students. In this thesis I propose an ontology aimed at helping students plan their studies, by giving a graphical presentation of how courses are linked together. I also look at current ways for students to plan their study, and compare them to the ontology. The focus of the ontology is primarily on the bachelors and ma…
Adaptive Backbone and Link Correlation based Data Transmission Schemes for Wireless Sensor Networks
2015
Masteroppgave informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi - Universitetet i Agder, 2015 One of the main challenges faced by modern wireless sensor networks (WSN) is rapid energy depletion of individual sensor nodes. In many applications, sensor nodes are deployed in outdoor environments and it is difficult to replace or recharge node batteries. Depending on network topology and the transmission schemes implemented, certain nodes could have higher energy consumption compared with other nodes. In highly unbalanced load distributions this could lead to early total energy depletion of a critical node in the topology resulting in what is known as an energy hole in the network. Considering these fac…
Towards Automated Human Identification Using Dental X-ray Images
2015
Masteroppgave informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi - Universitetet i Agder, 2015 Systems for automated human identification from dental X-ray images can be used to greatly reduce the necessary effort spent today by dental forensics experts. In this work a new methodology is proposed to create a system for automated dental X-ray identification. The methodology includes both state-of-the-art methods and a novel method for separating a dental X-ray image into individual teeth. The novel method is based on lowest cost pathfinding and is shown to achieve comparable results to the state-of-the-art. In experiments it is able to separate 88.7% of the teeth in the test images correctly. The iden…
Distributed Resource Allocation for Device-to-Device Communication in LTE/LTE-A Networks
2015
Masteroppgave informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi - Universitetet i Agder, 2015 Currently, 3GPP is working on device-to-device (D2D) communica- tions, which is regarded as a part of 5G mobile communication systems. This thesis focuses on allocation of radio resources, based on a scenario where out-of-coverage user equipments (UEs) communicate with a base station (BS), through an user equipment relay (UE-R) located within the cell coverage. Two algorithms have been developed, one focusing on adjusting di erent parameters to achieve higher performance in the de- veloped system. Whilst the other algorithm targets at battery depended resource allocation including four battery control alloc…
