Edge Computing-enabled Intrusion Detection for C-V2X Networks using Federated Learning
2022
Intrusion detection systems (IDS) have already demonstrated their effectiveness in detecting various attacks in cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) networks, especially when using machine learning (ML) techniques. However, it has been shown that generating ML-based models in a centralized way consumes a massive quantity of network resources, such as CPU/memory and bandwidth, which may represent a critical issue in such networks. To avoid this problem, the new concept of Federated Learning (FL) emerged to build ML-based models in a distributed and collaborative way. In such an approach, the set of nodes, e.g., vehicles or gNodeB, collaborate to create a global ML model trained across thes…
Bringing Building Data on Construction Site for Virtual Renovation Works
2013
Déjà sur HAL mais sans le fichier pdf; In this study we aimed at evaluating the benefit of managing a digital mock-up for renovation operations in an ancient building. Focusing on thermal efficiency, the renovation proposal dealt with the great windows. We compared three methodologies dedicated to the project planning and management We first address the issue of the renovation of old buildings and come up with a workflow that connects the digital building to its lifecycle; then we focus on an instance of onsite handling of such data, in an augmented reality context, by elaborating the notion of “BIM in situ” as described in the papers of [3] as well as in [4]. Results reveal that handling B…
GEOV1: LAI, FAPAR essential climate variables and FCOVER global time series capitalizing over existing products. Part 2: Validation and intercomparis…
2013
International audience; This paper describes the scientific validation of the first version of global biophysical products (i.e., leaf area index, fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation and fraction of vegetation cover), namely GEOV1, developed in the framework of the geoland-2/BioPar core mapping service at 1 km spatial resolution and 10-days temporal frequency. The strategy follows the recommendations of the CEOS/WGCV Land Product Validation for LAI global products validation. Several criteria of performance were evaluated, including continuity, spatial and temporal consistency, dynamic range of retrievals, statistical analysis per biome type, precision and accuracy. The…

In the last years, the advent of exome sequencing (ES) in diagnosis and in research led to the identification of the genetic bases of many Mendelian disorders, allowing many diagnostic wavering cases to be solved. Nevertheless, ES data analysis only leads to the identification of pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants in 30 to 45 % of the undiagnosed cases. Indeed, some limits exist, both at clinical, molecular and bioinformatic levels. The constant evolution of the clinical knowledge, of the number of genes involved in human diseases, and of the clinical-biological correlations, has a significant impact on data analysis, leading to a progressive improvement in diagnostic research. Limits…
Energy-Efficient and Secure Resource Allocation for Multiple-Antenna NOMA with Wireless Power Transfer
2018
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is considered as one of the promising techniques for providing high data rates in the fifth generation mobile communication. By applying successive interference cancellation schemes and superposition coding at the NOMA receiver, multiple users can be multiplexed on the same subchannel. In this paper, we investigate resource allocation algorithm design for an OFDM-based NOMA system empowered by wireless power transfer. In the considered system, users who need to transmit data can only be powered by the wireless power transfer. With the consideration of an existing eavesdropper, the objective is to obtain secure and energy efficient transmission among mul…
Comparing Tangible and Fully Virtual Haptic Systems for HMI Studies in Simulated Driving Situations
2019
International audience; The contribution of tangible and intangible feedback is compared for virtual tactile car Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) design, to measure their performance both in static conditions and while driving. A subjectively calibrated transparent glass provides tangible passive haptics, and visual cues are used to study sensory substitution-based intangible interactions. The results show that the performance of the subjects was significantly improved in driving conditions as they interacted faster, more accurately and with a higher satisfaction. In addition, our findings highlight that the contribution of tangible systems is significantly lower in driving conditions, raisin…
Effect of Footstep Vibrations and Proprioceptive Vibrations Used with an Innovative Navigation Method
2017
This study proposes to investigate the effect of adding vibration feedback to a navigation task in virtual environment. Previous study used footstep vibrations and proprioceptive vibrations in order to decrease the cyber-sickness and increase the sense of presence. In this study, we experiment the same vibration modalities but with a new navigation method. The results show that proprioceptive vibrations do not impact the sense of presence neither the cyber-sickness while footstep vibrations increase sense of presence and decrease in a certain way cyber-sickness. Informatique et salaires : le cas de la France au travers de l'enquête sur les changements organisationnels et l'informatisation

The strong tensions on the labour market met for these twenty last years have considerably accentuated the inequalities of wages to the detriment of the least qualified workers. One of the explanations of the increase in the inequalities on the labour maiket privileges a shock of the application for a job following the diffusion of the ICT in the economy. Thus, the introduction of newtechnologies into the production process or the operation of the companies would lead those to recruit worker more formed better with the detriment of the least qualified. But can one establish a link between the use of the ICT, in particular with computer, and the level of wage? The object of this article is t…
