AbstractWe study the impact of improved road standards on housing prices in a region of Southern Norway, where towns are located along the coast, like pearls on a string, with sparsely populated areas between the towns. In this region towns have since long been linked together by a road, but in 2009 a new highway, roughly parallel to the old road, was opened. The new highway runs Eastwards from the main town in the region and reduced one-way commutes to the main town by 10–15 min. The existing international standards suggest a methodology to assign a specific functional class to a road, by the values of some features, both geometrical and use-related. Sometimes, these characteristics are in contrast with each other and direct the analyst towards conflicting classes for a road or, worse, one or more of these features vary heterogeneously along the road. In these conditions, the analyst assigns the class that, by his capability and experience, he retains the most appropriate, in a very subjective way. International audience; This article focuses on an original approach aiming the processing of low-altitude aerial sequences taken from an helicopter (or drone) and presenting a road traffic. Proposed system attempts to extract vehicles from acquired sequences. Our approach begins with detecting the primitives of sequence images. At the time of this step of segmentation, the system computes dominant motion for each pair of images. This motion is computed using wavelets analysis on optical flow equation and robust techniques. International audience; The project 'HiGeoMes' seeks to connect knowledge about archaeological sites in the Near East with place names in ancient sources of the 2nd millennium BC. The paper describes the digital approach to integrate textual and geographical information by emphasizing the impact of interfaces linking diverse datasets. Several OGC-based Web services provide reviewed archaeological information in a Web GIS with query capabilities. Place-related philological data are stored in an OWL-store to model the topological relations of unidentified sites.
