Mitä opin? Monilukutaitoa ja tutkivaa oppimista monialaisessa oppimiskokonaisuudessa

Tarkastelemme tässä artikkelissa, mitä oppilaat, opettajat ja opettajaopiskelijat raportoivat oppineensa yhdessä toteuttamassaan monialaisessa oppimiskokonaisuudessa, johon osallistuivat erään yhtenäiskoulun kaikki 5.–8. luokan oppilaat. Oppimiskokonaisuuden aihe oli terve elämä ja sitä opiskeltiin viikon ajan ikäsekoitteisissa ryhmissä tutkivan oppimisen keinoin ja monilukutaitoa harjaannuttaen. Automatic content analysis in collaborative inquiry-based learning

In the field of science education, content analysis is a popular way to analyse collaborative inquiry-based learning (CIBL) processes. However, content analysis is time-consuming when conducted by humans. In this paper, we introduce an automatic content analysis method to identify the different inquiry-based learning (IBL) phases from authentic student face-to-face discussions. We illustrate the potential of automatic content analysis by comparing the results of manual content analysis (conducted by humans) and automatic content analysis (conducted by computers). Adolescents' perception of scientific inquiry in nature : a drawing analysis

This study was carried out to determine adolescents’ perception of scientific inquiry (SI) in nature and the effect of a science camp on those perceptions. Eleven science campers (14 to 16 years old) participated in this research during a science camp. Pre- and post-test included open questions and drawing tasks. The campers’ drawings were analyzed to assess their out-of-school perceptions related to SI. The aim was to clarify what phases and factors the campers associated with SI in nature, and how their perceptions differ after participating at a science camp. This research clarifies how a collaborative team teaching model (CTTM) can support both pre-service and in-service teachers’ professional development in using inquiry-based science teaching in primary schools. The data were collected via a questionnaire-based survey approach after inquiry projects implementation at public schools in four Finnish cities. The aim of this dissertation was explore the beliefs and practices of pre-service primary teachers on using simulations as a part of guided inquiry-based lessons.
