This paper aims at analysing a very well-known Italian neighbourhood, which is located in Palermo and called Zen. This neighbourhood has often been described as a clear example of the worst and most disgraced urban landscapes in Italy, as mass media and local stakeholders shaped its image for their own uses. 3D part inspection path planning of a laser scanner with control on the uncertainty

International audience; This article concerns the measurement process of mechanical parts using laser scanners. From the point of view of industrial applications, the objective is to guarantee the measurement accuracy during the scanning with regard to the geometrical product specifications. The proposed method can be summarized as follow: the first step consists of analyzing the interval of tolerance for the different specifications and to attribute to every geometrical entity a maximal uncertainty of measurement. In this article, we consider the determination of the trajectory planning within the framework of the control of dimensional and geometrical specifications. Adapting robot paths for automated NDT of complex structures using ultrasonic alignment

Automated inspection systems using industrial robots have been available for several years. The IntACom robot inspection system was developed at TWI Wales and utilizes phased array ultrasonic probes to inspect complex geometries, in particular aerospace composite components. To increase inspection speed and accuracy, off-line path planning is employed to define a series of robotic movements following the surface of a component. Local dynamics in supramolecular polymer networks probed by magnetic particle nanorheology

Transient supramolecular polymer networks are promising candidates as soft self-healing or stimuli-sensitive materials. In this paper, we employ a novel nanorheological approach, magnetic particle nanorheology (MPN), in order to better understand the local dynamic properties of model supramolecular networks from a molecular point of view.
