Toward farm-level health management of wind turbine systems: status and scope for improvements

An outline of health management for OWFs has been detailed in this chapter with description of various important elements. The need for such farm level management is explained and benefits are discussed. Key gaps to be filled in order to realize such a system are identified. The proposed health management system is mainly based on the existing knowledge of fleet-level management in the aerospace sector. Forensic Analysis of Fire in a Substation of a Commercial Center

In this article, the authors discuss the legal liabilities of the professional engineer as both the engineer of record of a project and the construction site manager. In particular, this article analyzes the case of a fire at the end-user medium voltage–low-voltage (MV–LV) substation of a shopping center in Italy, which occurred a few years after the maintenance works on the electrical installation. The professional engineer who had designed and overseen the construction of the substation was accused of professional negligence. This paper will test the relationship between water and cult in the southern part of the sanctuary of Zeus Olympios at Agrigento. The most singular feature of this area is a monumental pool, besides some cisterns, buildings and a small oikos temple. The sacred area was investigated during the 20th century by E. Gabrici and E. De Miro and was referred to a chthonian cult, without deepening the features and modalities of ritual activities.
