Itsearviointi suomalaisissa yliopistoissa: arvoja, kehittämistä ja imagon rakentamista

Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on analysoida suomalaisten yliopistojen ja niihin kuuluvien laitosten itsearviointia. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, miten yliopistoissa ja laitoksilla ymmärretään itsearvioinnin käsite, ”itse” toimijana sekä miten yliopistoissa ja laitoksilla rakennetaan imagoa ja identiteettiä itsearviointien avulla erilaisten yliopistoon kohdistuvien vaatimusten ristipaineessa. Tutkimuksen aineistona ovat suomalaisten yliopistojen vuosina 1993–2003 tuottamat yliopistotason itsearviointiraportit sekä laitostason toimijoille tehdyn kyselyn vastaukset. The paper presents academic achievements of traditional institutionalism, the first scientific approach in political science, which was developed since the second part of the 19th century in USA, Great Britain, Germany and France. The author argues that this orientation had a creative influence on the progress of the discipline, however this impact is not appreciated by contemporary studies in the field of political science and political theory where limited understanding of the old institutionalism is promoted. This dissertation focuses on the adoption of the hypermarket in Finnish retailing and examines how major retail organizations experienced the transition from established practices into new logic of retail business, the large-scale retail trade. The research builds on DiMaggio and Powell’s (1983) analytical categorization of institutional isomorphic mechanisms, but utilizes more recent theorizations and insights of organizational institutionalism in the detailed theoretical framing. This article focuses on key issues and recent developments concerning indigenous peoples' involvement in international decision making affecting their rights and interests. La capacidad para innovar en un establecimiento escolar depende de los recursos disponibles y utilizados para contribuir a generar nuevas prácticas en su funcionamiento. En el presente trabajo se analizan dichos recursos en los centros de Bachillerato de la Comunidad Valenciana, así como la influencia que pueden ejercer su tamaño y su antigüedad sobre la innovación. La información se ha obtenido a partir de un cuestionario enviado a las instituciones de educación en una escala tipo Likert.
