Machine Learning-Based View Synthesis in Fourier Lightfield Microscopy

Current interest in Fourier lightfield microscopy is increasing, due to its ability to acquire 3D images of thick dynamic samples. This technique is based on simultaneously capturing, in a single shot, and with a monocular setup, a number of orthographic perspective views of 3D microscopic samples. An essential feature of Fourier lightfield microscopy is that the number of acquired views is low, due to the trade-off relationship existing between the number of views and their corresponding lateral resolution. The second data release of the INT Photometric Hα Survey of the Northern Galactic Plane (IPHAS DR2)

The INT/WFC Photometric H-Alpha Survey of the Northern Galactic Plane (IPHAS) is a 1800 square degrees imaging survey covering Galactic latitudes |b| < 5 deg and longitudes l = 30 to 215 deg in the r, i and H-alpha filters using the Wide Field Camera (WFC) on the 2.5-metre Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) in La Palma. We present the first quality-controlled and globally-calibrated source catalogue derived from the survey, providing single-epoch photometry for 219 million unique sources across 92% of the footprint. International audience; Based on the electrochemical properties of a series of metallophthalocyanines this article shows that the phthalocyanine bearing four alkoxy groups and twelve fluorine atoms behaves approximately as those with eight fluorine atoms. This indicates that the electron-donating effect of one alkoxy group balances the electro-withdrawing effect of one fluorine atom. Investigation of nitrogen and helium cryosorption on molecular sieves

Abstract The helium-containing plasma exhaust gases of Tokamaks can be pumped by cryopumps using cryosorption panels coated with solid porous materials. The best pumping characteristics are achieved with activated charcoal and molecular sieves at temperatures below 10 K. In order to select the most suitable material with respect to cryosorption properties and reactivation behaviour, comparative tests on various molecular sieve types differing in cavity structure, pore size and polarity were carried out. Precision luminosity measurements at LHCb

Measuring cross-sections at the LHC requires the luminosity to be determined accurately at each centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$. In this paper results are reported from the luminosity calibrations carried out at the LHC interaction point 8 with the LHCb detector for $\sqrt{s}$ = 2.76, 7 and 8 TeV (proton-proton collisions) and for $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5 TeV (proton-lead collisions). Both the "van der Meer scan" and "beam-gas imaging" luminosity calibration methods were employed. Diffusion and outgassing of O2 in amorphous SiO2 silica nanoparticles with specific surface properties

Silica nanoparticles with hydrophilic and hydrophobic surface and average diameter of 12 and 40 nm are investigated to study the surface group influence on the diffusion process of molecular oxygen. The O2 diffusion kinetics and molecular solubility are determined by Raman/Photoluminescence measurements. Thermal treatments up to 127°C in controlled atmosphere show that the surface chemistry of nanoparticles is not changed, the equilibrium emission of O2 depends on nanoparticles surface properties, whereas the dynamics of diffusion is surface independent suggesting that surface groups could only affect overall content or detectability of interstitial molecules.
