A fundamental requirement to obtain a correct endodontic preparation depends on the respect, during cleaning and shaping, of the original morphology of the apical foramen, (AF), so that the filling material will form a complete seal. METHODS. Every part of the human body is subject to aging, including the eye. Increased prevalence of dry eye disease with age is widely acknowledged: aging threatens ocular surface homeostasis, altering the normal functioning of the lacrimal functional unit and potentially leading to signs and symptoms of dry eye. Parallelly, two additional degenerative processes take place within the crystalline lens, leading to presbyopia and cataractogenesis. Leaf area index (LAI) is a key biophysical parameter used to determine foliage cover and crop growth in environmental studies in order to assess crop yield. LAI estimates can be classified as direct or indirect methods. Direct methods are destructive, time consuming, and difficult to apply over large fields. Indirect methods are non-destructive and cost-effective due to its portability, accuracy and repeatability.
