Performance of Lead-Acid Batteries with Nanostructured Electrodes at Different Temperature

2018

In this work we present innovative lead-acid batteries with nanostructured electrodes, which are cycled in a wide range of temperatures typically of lead-acid commercial batteries (EN 61427-1: 2013). In comparison to parameters usually used to commercial batteries, much more stressful conditions in terms of cut-off, charge/discharge rate and discharge were imposed.

On Temporal Aspects in Cross-Cultural e-Collaboration Between Finland and Japan Research Teams

2018

Time is an essential dimension in cross-cultural e-collaboration among research project teams. Understanding temporal aspects and project dynamics in cross-cultural research e-collaboration and related processes can improve team members' skills in cross-cultural communication and increase their cultural competence. The present case cultures are Finnish and Japanese, and the case universities are the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) and Keio University (Japan). Three issues are addressed in this article. First, cultural dimensions and time models in the cross-cultural e-collaboration context are discussed. Second, temporal aspects related to e-collaboration activities are introduced. Third,…

Odpowiedź dyskutantom

2013

In the reply it is argued, first, that the argument from low probability does not work in the absence of additional assumptions. Second, arguments from laboratory, vestigial structures, and imitating nature in technology are reversed against ID. Third, the question of telling artefacts from natural objects is discussed in the context of the search for explanation. Finally, the neglect of the requirements for an explanation to be non-vacuous on the part of ID theorists is said to drive ID towards fideism rather than science.

ACCEM observation strategy.

2006

International audience; ACCEM is an NGO that works in favour of refugees and immigrants in Spain. Since 1996, ACCEM has developed a strategy of observation that articulates national observation and local observatories. The objective of the local observatories is to improve the services which are offered to the migrants, thanks to a better knowledge of their needs and to the use of tools of territorial intelligence, CATALYSE and the trees of knowledge. Since 1996, the Gorion national observatory has gathered in Madrid the individual data of migrants from the regional centres and from the different programmes that were carried out by ACCEM. It provides a wider knowledge of the migrants and of…

Notion de compétence, clé de l'ingénierie territoriale

2012

Businesses as one of the key elements of a regions sustainable development.

2007

The regionalization and local development, encouraged by the European Union involves the notion of territory. Today territory or region should be seen as a system of actors. The concept of sustainable development should be taken into account by these actors. Businesses (especially SMEs) whose aim is to assure local development, economic growth and job creation are one of the key elements of territorys sustainability.

Du territoire au territoire par l'observation, prendre en compte la diversité des territoires et adapter les méthodes et les outils aux nouvelles dem…

2008

We propose a conceptual and graphical model of the territory built from an empirical intuitive and deductive approach of systemic paradigm of territorialization. This model is based on an individualized approach before being extended to the collective level. It is first seen in the context of the evolution of the concept in scientific thinking. Then, we introduce it in understanding the dynamics of the territory, under the paradigm of territorial intelligence, through observation and observatories that we adapt to the context of governance systems at different scales.
