Sourcing on the internet: Examining the relations among different phases of online inquiry

This study examined students’ engagement in sourcing throughout online inquiry, that is, when they specified the information need, formulated search queries, evaluated online texts, and composed a written product. Participants were 167 upper secondary school students. Students completed an online inquiry task in a restricted online environment that utilized authentic online texts. Students’ prior topic knowledge and reading fluency was measured and controlled for in the analysis. This paper deals with the modeling and analysis of narrowband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) mobile- to-mobile (M2M) fading channels in relay-based cooperative networks. Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation conditions are assumed in the transmission links from the source mobile station to the destination mobile station via the mobile relay. Developing a stable personal identity is considered a more precarious task in today’s society than hitherto. Skilful digital engagement may, however, constitute a valuable asset in necessary identity exploration and commitment. Applying a person-oriented approach, we examined for the first time how identity profiles are associated with digital engagement, operationalized as digital competence, gaming seriousness, type of internet activity and excessive ICT use. The operation of new technologies and the supply of digital goods involves for users to disclose their personal data. The market data is already a reality with the danger that this entails for the privacy of citizens. The new General Data Protection Regulation has created a new legal framework that aims to radically change the current model, giving users greater powers to control their data. A good example of this is the express statement, and for the first time, of the right to be forgotten, which allows citizens to digitally erase their data when other fundamental rights are endangered.
