WebGIS Implementation for Dynamic Mapping and Visualization of Coastal Geospatial Data: A Case Study of BESS Project

Within an E.U.-funded project, BESS (Pocket Beach Management and Remote Surveillance System), the notion of a geographic information system is an indispensable tool for managing the dynamics of georeferenced data and information for any form of territorial planning. This notion was further explored with the creation of a WebGIS portal that will allow local and regional stakeholders/authorities obtain an easy remote access tool to monitor the status of pocket beaches (PB) in the Maltese Archipelago and Sicily. Szanghajska Organizacja Współpracy (SZOW) to międzynarodowa organizacja o charakterze rządowym, którą od 8 czerwca 2017 r. tworzy osiem państw członkowskich, a mianowicie: Federacja Rosyjska, Chińska Republika Ludowa, Republika Kazachstanu, Republika Kirgistanu, Republika Uzbekistanu, Republika Tadżykistanu, Republika Indii oraz Islamska Republika Pakistanu. ''Dual'' gravity: Using spatial econometrics to control for multilateral resistance.

We propose a quantity-based `dual' version of the gravity equation that yields an estimating equation with both cross-sectional interdependence and spatially lagged error terms. Such an equation can be concisely estimated using spatial econometric techniques. We illustrate this methodology by applying it to the Canada-U.S. data set used previously, among others, by Anderson and van Wincoop (2003) and Feenstra (2002, 2004). Our key result is to show that controlling directly for spatial interdependence across trade flows, as suggested by theory, significantly reduces border effects because it captures `multilateral resistance'. Część historyków kwestionuje polityczne znaczenie trifolium — trójlistnej koniczyny, nieformalnego porozumienia senatorów koronnych, w którego skład wchodzili: kanclerz Jakub Zadzik, biskup chełmiński, hetman Stanisław Koniecpolski i Stanisław Lubomirski, wojewoda ruski. W latach 1631–1632 trifolium z powodzeniem popierało uposażenie członków rodziny królewskiej w Rzeczypospolitej, ale z powodu opozycji przedstawicieli Wielkiego Księstwa Litewskiego nie udało się przeprowadzić reformy elekcji. Testing and implementing a new approach to estimating interregional output multipliers using input-output data for South Korean regions

Flegg's location quotient (FLQ) is a useful tool for estimating intraregional output multipliers. This paper uses it as one component when estimating interregional multipliers. Using statistical information criteria and official data for 16 South Korean regions, it is found that the best approach is to combine the FLQ with a simple trade model. The paper explains how the proposed procedure can be implemented for both multiple and individual regions, and also how a region-specific value for the unknown parameter δ in the FLQ formula can be determined. Finally, an illustrative case study of one of the regions is carried out.
