Purpose We aimed to compare the outcomes of the Endurant II (Medtronic) stent-graft used under instructions for use versus off-label in high-risk patients considered unfit for conventional surgery. Methods Data from patients treated with the Endurant II stent-graft between December 2012 and March 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Sixty-four patients were included. Patients were assigned to group A if treated under instructions for use (n=34, 53%) and to group B if treated off-label (n=30, 47%). Brain arteriovenous malformations (bAVMs) are unusual vascular pathologies characterized by the abnormal aggregation of dilated arteries and veins in the brain parenchyma and for which the absence of a normal vascular structure and capillary bed leads to direct connections between arteries and veins. Although bAVMs have long been believed to be congenital anomalies that develop during the prenatal period, current studies show that inflammation is associated with AVM genesis, growth, and rupture. Abstract Purpose To evaluate dose reduction in vascular angiographic procedures by using fluoroscopy capture instead of digital subtraction angiography frames for documentation. Materials and Methods A total of 764 consecutive vascular interventional procedures performed over a period of 1 year were retrospectively analyzed with respect to the fluoroscopy time and the resulting dose–area product (DAP), the DAP of the radiographic frames, and the overall DAP. Results A total of 70% of the total DAP was a result of the acquisition of radiographic frames, leaving only 30% being applied by fluoroscopy.
