Suzukiʼs type characterizations of completeness for partial metric spaces and fixed points for partially ordered metric spaces
2012
Abstract Recently, Suzuki [T. Suzuki, A generalized Banach contraction principle that characterizes metric completeness, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 136 (2008) 1861–1869] proved a fixed point theorem that is a generalization of the Banach contraction principle and characterizes the metric completeness. In this paper we prove an analogous fixed point result for a self-mapping on a partial metric space or on a partially ordered metric space. Our results on partially ordered metric spaces generalize and extend some recent results of Ran and Reurings [A.C.M. Ran, M.C. Reurings, A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004…
Multi-valued $$F$$ F -contractions in 0-complete partial metric spaces with application to Volterra type integral equation
2013
We study the existence of fixed points for multi-valued mappings that satisfy certain generalized contractive conditions in the setting of 0-complete partial metric spaces. We apply our results to the solution of a Volterra type integral equation in ordered 0-complete partial metric spaces.
Existence of a common fixed point for a family of mappings of non‐expansive type on a metric space
1992
Existence of a common fixed point for a family of mappings of non‐expansive type on a metric space with a closure operator is proved.
Remarks on G-Metric Spaces
2013
In 2005, Mustafa and Sims (2006) introduced and studied a new class of generalized metric spaces, which are called G-metric spaces, as a generalization of metric spaces. We establish some useful propositions to show that many fixed point theorems on (nonsymmetric) G-metric spaces given recently by many authors follow directly from well-known theorems on metric spaces. Our technique can be easily extended to other results as shown in application.
Some fixed point results for multi-valued mappings in partial metric spaces
2013
Abstract In this paper, we obtain some fixed point results for multi-valued mappings in partial metric spaces. Our results unify, generalize and complement various known comparable results from the current literature. An example is also included to illustrate the main result in the paper. Picard sequence and fixed point results on b -metric spaces
2015
We obtain some fixed point results for single-valued and multivalued mappings in the setting of ab-metric space. These results are generalizations of the analogous ones recently proved by Khojasteh, Abbas, and Costache.
Some Common Coupled Fixed Point Results for Generalized Contraction in Complex-Valued Metric Spaces
2013
We introduce and study the notion of common coupled fixed points for a pair of mappings in complex valued metric space and demonstrate the existence and uniqueness of the common coupled fixed points in a complete complex-valued metric space in view of diverse contractive conditions. In addition, our investigations are well supported by nontrivial examples.
Fixed point theory for cyclic weak ϕ-contraction in fuzzy metric spaces
2012
In this paper, we introduce cyclic weak $\phi-$contractions in fuzzy metric spaces and utilize the same to prove some results on existence and uniqueness of fixed point in fuzzy metric spaces. Some related results are also proved besides furnishing illustrative examples.
Crowding-out effect and sorting in competitive labour markets with motivated workers
2018
ABSTRACTThis article makes a contribution to the economics literature by inducing proper self-selection into contracts based on workers’ motivation. The novelty of our results is that it points out the alternative potential role of the crowding-out effect to separate workers based on their motivation.
Examining the side effects of organizational Internet monitoring on employees
2020
PurposeInternet monitoring in organizations can be used to monitor risks associated with Internet usage and information systems in organizations, such as employees' cyberloafing behavior and information security incidents. Extant research has mainly discussed the effect of Internet monitoring in achieving the targeted goals (e.g. mitigating cyberloafing behavior and information security incidents), but little attention has been paid to the possible side effects of Internet monitoring. Drawing on affective events theory, the authors attempt to reveal that Internet monitoring may cause side effects on employees' Internet usage policy satisfaction, intrinsic work motivation and affective organ…
