Experimental review of e + e − →ππh c

We review the recent BESIII measurement of e+e− → ππhc in which its line shape is studied between the center-of-mass energies of 3.9 to 4.42 GeV and an iso-vector charmonium-like state Zc(4020) is observed in the invariant mass of πhc at the BESIII experiment. The charged Zc(4020)± is the second observed Zc state following Zc(3900), while the Zc(4020)0 is the first observed neutral Zc state. The line shape of σ(e+e− → ππhc) is also re-analyzed in view of searching for the Y state and the existence of the Y(4220) state is confirmed and compared with the previous work of the BESIII experiment.
Studies ofWboson plus jets production inpp¯collisions ats=1.96 TeV

We present a comprehensive analysis of inclusive W(-> ev) + n-jet (n >= 1, 2, 3, 4) production in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Tevatron collider using a 3.7 fb(-1) data set collected by the D0 detector. Differential cross sections are presented as a function of the jet rapidities (y), lepton transverse momentum (P-T) and pseudorapidity (eta), the scalar sum of the transverse energies of the W boson and all jets (H-T), leading dijet P-T and invariant mass, dijet rapidity separations for a variety of jet pairings for P-T-ordered and angular-ordered jets, dijet opening angle, dijet azimuthal angular separations for P-T-ordered and angular-ordered j…
Thee+e−→2(π+π−)π0,2(π+π−)η,K+K−π+π−π0andK+K−π+π−ηcross sections measured with initial-state radiation

We study the processes $e^+ e^-\to 2(\pi^+\pi^-)\pi^0\gamma$, $2(\pi^+\pi^-)\eta\gamma$, $K^+ K^-\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\gamma$ and $K^+ K^-\pi^+\pi^-\eta\gamma$ with the hard photon radiated from the initial state. About 20000, 4300, 5500 and 375 fully reconstructed events, respectively, are selected from 232 fb$^{-1}$ of BaBar data. The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective $e^+ e^-$ center-of-mass energy, so that the obtained cross sections from the threshold to about 5 GeV can be compared with corresponding direct \epem measurements, currently available only for the $\eta\pi^+\pi^-$ and $\omega\pi^+\pi^-$ submodes of the $e^+ e^-\to 2(\pi^+\pi^-)\pi^0$ channel. Measurement of the branching fraction andΛ¯polarization inB0→Λ¯pπ−

We present a measurement of the B0 --> Lambda-bar p pi- branching fraction performed using the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric e+e- collider. Based on a sample of 467 million BB-bar pairs we measure B(B0 --> Lambda-bar p pi-) = [3.07 pm 0.31 (stat.) pm 0.23 (syst.)] x 10^{-6}. The measured differential spectrum as a function of the dibaryon invariant mass m(Lambda p) shows a near-threshold enhancement similar to that observed in other baryonic B decays. We study the Lambda-bar polarization as a function of Lambda-bar energy in the B0 rest frame (E*_Lambda) and compare it with theoretical expectations of fully longitudinally right-polarized Lambda-bar at large E*_Lambda.
Time-dependent and time-integrated angular analysis ofB→φKS0π0andφK±π∓

We perform a time-dependent and time-integrated angular analysis of the B{sup 0} {yields} {psi}K*(892){sup 0}, {psi}K*{sub 2}(1430{sup 0}), and {psi}(K{pi}){sub S-wave}{sup 0} decays with the final sample of about 465 million B{bar B} pairs recorded with the BABAR detector. Overall, twelve parameters are measured for the vector-vector decay, nine parameters for the vector-tensor decay, and three parameters for the vector-scalar decay, including the branching fractions, CP-violation parameters, and parameters sensitive to final state interaction. Measurements of branching fractions andCPasymmetries and studies of angular distributions forB→ϕϕKdecays

We present branching fraction and CP asymmetry measurements as well as angular studies of B to phi phi K decays using 464 x 10^6 BBbar events collected by the BaBar experiment. The branching fractions are measured in the phi phi invariant mass range below the eta_c resonance (m_phiphi <2.85 GeV). We find B(B+ to phi phi K+) = (5.6 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.3) x 10^-6 and B(B0 to phi phi K0) = (4.5 +/- 0.8 +/- 0.3) x 10^-6, where the first uncertaintiy is statistical and the second systematic. The measured direct CP asymmetries for the B+- decays are A_CP = -0.10 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.02 below the eta_c threshold and A_CP = 0.09 +/- 0.10 +?- 0.02 in the eta_c resonance region (m_phiphi in [2.94,3.02] GeV). Probing new physics by comparing solar and KamLAND data

We explore whether KamLAND and solar data may end up inconsistent when analyzed in terms of two-flavor neutrino oscillations. If this turned out to be the case, one would be led to conclude that there is more new physics, besides neutrino masses and mixing, in the leptonic sector. On the other hand, given that KamLAND and solar data currently agree when analyzed in terms of two-flavor neutrino oscillations, one is able to place nontrivial bounds on several manifestations of new physics. In particular, we compute how well a combined KamLAND and solar data analysis is able to constrain a specific form of violation of CPT invariance by placing a very stringent upper bound, |Delta m^2 - Delta b…
Reanalysis of thee+e−→(D*D¯*)±π∓reaction and the claim for theZc(4025)resonance

In this paper we study the reaction ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{({D}^{*}{\overline{D}}^{*})}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{\mp}}$ in which the BESIII collaboration has claimed the existence of a ${1}^{+}$ resonance, named ${Z}_{c}(4025)$, in the ${D}^{*}{\overline{D}}^{*}$ invariant mass spectrum with a mass around 4026 MeV and width close to 26 MeV . We determine the ${D}^{*}{\overline{D}}^{*}$ invariant mass distribution and find that although the explanation considered by the BESIII collaboration is plausible, there are others which are equally possible, like a ${2}^{+}$ resonance or a bound state. Dynamical threshold enhancement and resummation in Drell-Yan production

Partonic cross sections for the production of massive objects in hadronic collisions receive large corrections when the invariant mass of the initial-state partons is just above the production threshold. Since typically the center-of-mass energy of the hadronic collision is much higher than the mass of the heavy objects, it is not obvious that these contributions translate into large corrections to the hadronic cross section. Using a recent approach to threshold resummation based on effective field theory, we quantify to which extent the fall-off of the parton densities at high x leads to a dynamical enhancement of the partonic threshold region. Empirical parameterization of the K±→π±π0π0 decay Dalitz plot

As first observed by the NA48/2 experiment at the CERN SPS, the π0π0 invariant mass (M00) distribution from K±→π±π0π0 decay shows a cusp-like anomaly at M00=2m+, where m+ is the charged pion mass. An analysis to extract the ππ scattering lengths in the isospin I=0 and I=2 states, a0 and a2, respectively, has been recently reported. In the present work the Dalitz plot of this decay is fitted to a new empirical parameterization suitable for practical purposes, such as Monte Carlo simulations of K±→π±π0π0 decays.
