Ωb−→(Ξc+K−)π− decay and the Ωc states
2018
We study the weak decay ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}_{b}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}({\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}_{c}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, in view of the narrow ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}_{c}$ states recently measured by the LHCb Collaboration and later confirmed by the Belle Collaboration. The ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}_{c}(3050)$ and ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}_{c}(3090)$ are described as meson-baryon molecular states, using an extension of the local hidden gauge approach in coupled channels. We investigate the $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}D$, ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}_{c}\overline{K}$, and ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}_…
The massive analytic invariant charge in QCD
2004
The low energy behavior of a recently proposed model for the massive analytic running coupling of QCD is studied. This running coupling has no unphysical singularities, and in the absence of masses displays infrared enhancement. The inclusion of the effects due to the mass of the lightest hadron is accomplished by employing the dispersion relation for the Adler D function. The presence of the nonvanishing pion mass tames the aforementioned enhancement, giving rise to a finite value for the running coupling at the origin. In addition, the effective charge acquires a "plateau-like" behavior in the low energy region of the timelike domain. This plateau is found to be in agreement with a number…
Measurement of inclusive jet and dijet production inppcollisions ats=7 TeVusing the ATLAS detector
2012
Inclusive jet and dijet cross sections have been measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The cross sections were measured using jets clustered with the anti-kT algorithm with parameters R=0.4 and R=0.6. These measurements are based on the 2010 data sample, consisting of a total integrated luminosity of 37 inverse picobarns. Inclusive jet double-differential cross sections are presented as a function of jet transverse momentum, in bins of jet rapidity. Dijet double-differential cross sections are studied as a function of the dijet invariant mass, in bins of half the rapidity separation of the two leading …
Measurement of three-jet differential cross sections dσ3jet/dM3jet in pp¯ collisions at s=1.96 TeV
2011
We present the first measurement of the inclusive three-jet differential cross section as a function of the invariant mass of the three jets with the largest transverse momenta in an event in p anti-p collisions at sqrt(s) = 1.96 TeV. The measurement is made in different rapidity regions and for different jet transverse momentum requirements and is based on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.7 fb^{-1} collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The results are used to test the three-jet matrix elements in perturbative QCD calculations at next-to-leading order in the strong coupling constant. The data allow discrimination between parametrizations …
Measurement of the differential cross sections for isolated direct photon pair production in pp¯ collisions at s=1.96 TeV
2013
We present measurements of direct photon pair production cross sections using 8.5 fb(-1) of data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron p (p) over bar collider. The results are presented as differential distributions of the photon pair invariant mass d sigma/dM(gamma gamma), pair transverse momentum d sigma/dp(T)(gamma gamma) azimuthal angle between the photons d sigma/d Delta(phi)(gamma gamma), and polar scattering angle in the Collins-Soper frame d sigma/d vertical bar cos theta*vertical bar. Measurements are performed for isolated photons with transverse momenta p(T)(gamma) > 18 (17) GeV for the leading (next-to-leading) photon in P-T, pseudorapidities vertical bar eta(g…
Measurement of the dijet invariant mass cross section in pp¯ collisions at s=1.96 TeV
2010
The inclusive dijet production double differential cross section as a function of the dijet invariant mass and of the largest absolute rapidity (y_{max}) of the two jets with the largest transverse momentum in an event is measured in proton anti-proton collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.96$ TeV using 0.7 fb^{-1} of data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The measurement is performed in six rapidity regions up to |y|=2.4. Next-to-leading order perturbative QCD predictions are found to be in agreement with the data.
anQCD: Fortran programs for couplings at complex momenta in various analytic QCD models
2015
We provide three Fortran programs which evaluate the QCD analytic (holomorphic) couplings $\mathcal{A}_{\nu}(Q^2)$ for complex or real squared momenta $Q^2$. These couplings are holomorphic analogs of the powers $a(Q^2)^{\nu}$ of the underlying perturbative QCD (pQCD) coupling $a(Q^2) \equiv \alpha_s(Q^2)/\pi$, in three analytic QCD models (anQCD): Fractional Analytic Perturbation Theory (FAPT), Two-delta analytic QCD (2$\delta$anQCD), and Massive Perturbation Theory (MPT). The index $\nu$ can be noninteger. The provided programs do basically the same job as the Mathematica package anQCD.m in Mathematica published by us previously, Ref.[1], but are now written in Fortran.
Measurement of Prompt Photon Production In Hadronic-z Decays
1993
The production of isolated photons in hadronic Z decays is measured with the ALEPH detector at LEP using a sample of 450 000 hadronic events. The corrected rate is given for several values of the minimum invariant mass squared cut between the photon and the jets. This measurement of final state radiation from the quarks is compared with the predictions of parton shower models JETSET, ARIADNE and HERWIG as well as with the predictions of QCD matrix element calculations. The rotational spectrum of 17O2 up to the THz region
2016
Abstract The investigation of the pure rotational spectrum of the 17O2 isotopic species of molecular oxygen has been extended with respect to previous investigations to the submillimeter-wave region, from 230 GHz up to 1.06 THz. The resulting spectroscopic parameters, which have an accuracy comparable to that of the constants obtained from an updated isotopic invariant fit involving data for three electronic states and six isotopologues [Yu et al. High resolution spectral analysis of oxygen. IV. Energy levels, partition sums, bandconstants, RKR potentials, Franck–Condon factors involving the X 3 Σ g − , a 1 Δ g , and b 1 Σ g + states. J Chem Phys 2014;141:174302/1–12], permit the prediction…
Prediction of anI=1DD¯*state and relationship to the claimedZc(3900),Zc(3885)
2014
We study here the interaction of $D{\overline{D}}^{*}$ in the isospin $I=1$ channel in light of recent theoretical advances that allow us to combine elements of the local hidden gauge approach with heavy quark spin symmetry. We find that the exchange of light $q\overline{q}$ is Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) suppressed and thus we concentrate on the exchange of heavy vectors and of two pion exchange. The latter is found to be small compared to the exchange of heavy vectors, which then determines the strength of the interaction. A barely $D{\overline{D}}^{*}$ bound state decaying into ${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{c}\ensuremath{\rho}$ and $\ensuremath{\pi}J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ is found. At the same time we…
