La teoría de las necesidades psicológicas básicas (Deci y Ryan, 2000) defiende que en los contextos sociales en los que se apoya la autonomía se promueve el bienestar a través de la satisfacción de las necesidades psicológicas básicas. En base a este marco teórico, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue triple: primero, poner a prueba un modelo en el que se analizaba la secuencia: percepción del apoyo a la autonomía ofrecido por el profesor/entrenador - satisfacción de las necesidades psicológicas básicas - bienestar; segundo, examinar el papel mediador de las necesidades, y tercero, estudiar la invarianza del modelo entre dos poblaciones. El trabajo se propone aportar evidencias de validez referidas al Listado de Síntomas Breve (LSB-50; de Rivera y Abuín, 2012), instrumento psicométrico de screening para medir síntomas sicológicos, analizadas en una muestra de adultos argentinos. Los participantes fueron 1291 individuos distribuidos proporcionalmente según sexo (51% mujeres; 49% varones) con edades entre 18 y 89 años (M = 38.9, DE = 16.49). Aim Satisfaction with life is a measure of protection in older adults. There lies the importance of providing quality instruments. The aim of the study was to evaluate the invariance of the life satisfaction scale (SWLS) in two samples of older adults in Spain and Peru. Method The participants were 857 older adults in Spain (mean age = 68.23 years, SD = 5.93) and 336 older adults in Peru (average age = 72.42, SD = 7.07). All multi-group confirmatory factor analyzes were estimated in Mplus 8.0. Recently developed IRT models usually rely on the assumption that item parameters remain invariant when they are paired in forced-choice blocks, without giving it much consideration. This study aims to test this assumption empirically on the MUPP-2PL model, comparing the parameter estimates of the forced-choice format to their graded-scale equivalent on a Big Five personality instrument. AbstractRosenberg's self-esteem scale has been extensively used in all areas of psychology to assess global self-esteem (Rosenberg, 1965, 1979). Its construct validity, and specifically its factor structure, has almost from the beginning been under debate. More than four decades after its creation the cumulated evidence points that the scale measures a single trait (self-esteem) but confounded by a method factor associated to negatively worded items.
