International audience; The MIRS spectroscopic software for the modeling of ro-vibrational spectra of polyatomic molecules is presented. It is designed for the global treatment of complex band systems of molecules to take full account of symmetry properties. It includes e cient algorithms based on the irreducible tensor formalism. Predictions and simultaneous data fi tting (positions and intensities) are implemented as well as advanced options related to group theory algebra. The Arctic CLoud Observations Using airborne measurements during polar Day (ACLOUD) campaign was carried out north-west of Svalbard (Norway) between 23 May and 6 June 2017. The objective of ACLOUD was to study Arctic boundary layer and mid-level clouds and their role in Arctic amplification. Two research aircraft (Polar 5 and 6) jointly performed 22 research flights over the transition zone between open ocean and closed sea ice. Both aircraft were equipped with identical instrumentation for measurements of basic meteorological parameters, as well as for turbulent and radiative energy fluxes. In this paper, the SOMOSTA (Soil Moisture Monitoring Station) experiment on the intercomparison of soil moisture monitoring from Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R) signals and passive L-band microwave radiometer observations at the Valencia Anchor Station is introduced. The GNSS-R instrument has an up-looking antenna for receiving direct signals from satellites, and a dual-pol down-looking antenna for receiving LHCP (left-hand circular polarization) and RHCP (right-hand circular polarization) reflected signals from the soil surface. Abstract Urban areas in the Brazilian Amazon have grown at an unprecedented rate during the last years. About 90% of the wastewater produced by these urban areas are discharged untreated into Amazonian freshwater ecosystems, constituting a potential environmental pathway for pharmaceuticals and other chemicals consumed by modern societies (e.g. psychostimulants, personal-care products, hormones). The distribution of these chemicals into the Amazon River and their potential risks for freshwater biodiversity have not been evaluated so far. Modelling Regional Air Quality in the Canadian Arctic: Simulation of an Arctic Summer Field Campaign

Model simulations of an Arctic summer field campaign were carried out. The model results were compared with observational data from both ground-based monitoring and in situ measurements on-board multiple mobile platforms. The model was able to well capture regional sources and transport affecting the Arctic air quality. It is shown that the study area was impacted by North American (NA) regional biomass burning emissions. The model-observation comparison also corroborates previous findings on possible roles of marine-biogenic sources in aerosol production in the Arctic MBL during summertime.
