Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan kiinansuomalaista naiseutta informanttien sopeutumiskokemuksista käsin. Aineisto kerättiin kirjoituspyynnöllä kiinansuomalaisten tiedotuskanavien kautta ja kirjoituksen toimitti yhteensä 17 informanttia. Analyysissä on käytetty sisällönanalyyttisiä keinoja, kuten tyypittelyä, luokittelua ja yhteyksien tarkastelua. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on kuvata millaisena kiinansuomalaiset naiset kokevat oman positionsa kiinalaisessa yhteisössä ja kulttuurissa sekä identifioituvatko he johonkin viiteryhmään. Työssä pohditaan millaisia vaikutuksia kulttuurien välisillä eroilla ja toisaalta yksilöiden omilla akkulturaatiostrategioilla on kiinansuomalaisten naisten sopeutumisko…

Abstract Large-eddy simulation (LES) results are presented and discussed for the turbulent flow with heat transfer in different geometrical configurations, including a plane channel, a channel bearing transverse square ribs on one of the walls, and a crossed-corrugated air heater. They were obtained using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code Harwell-FLOW3D (Release 2), finite-volume grids having up to 423 nodes, and the Smagorinsky subgrid model with several variants regarding near-wall damping and wall boundary conditions. Star-shaped polymers show a continuous change of properties from flexible linear chains to soft colloids, as the number of arms is increased. To investigate the effect of macromolecular architecture on the flow properties, we employ computer simulations of single chain and star polymers as well as of their mixtures under Poiseuille flow. Hydrodynamic interactions are incorporated through the multi-particle collision dynamics (MPCD) technique, while a bead-spring model is used to describe the polymers.
