AbstractThe paper focuses on two problems with Alexander Wendt's unification of physical and social ontology on the basis of quantum theory. Firstly, by endowing social phenomena with an ontological foundation in physical reality defined in quantum terms Wendt risks reducing a plurality of worlds as ‘fields of sense’, ordered by their immanent rules, to the physical world ordered by the laws of quantum theory. Näkökulmaa laajennetaan koskemaan muutakin fantasiakirjallisuutta esimerkein ja vertailuin. Toiseuden teoreettinen viitekehys tutkielmassa on lähtöisin sosiologiasta. It drips from the protagonist’s father’s wrist artery, willingly shed in suicide; involuntarily tarnishes her nightgown as menstrual blood; falls on the school director’s china figurines as nosebleed; and pours in the school library as a vampire-invoked rain. Tässä pro gradu-tutkielmassa tarkastellaan autenttisen naiskokemuksen ilmenemistä ranskalaisen kirjailijan Marguerite Durasin (1914-1996) Varakonsuli-teoksessa, joka ilmestyi ensimmäisen kerran vuonna 1966. Työni analyysi-osio jakautuu kahteen päälukuun, joista ensimmäisessä tarkastelen romaanin sisäkertomuksen kattavaa kerjäläisnaisen vaellusta feminiisen, autenttiseen itseyteen tähtäävän matkakuvauksen näkökulmasta. Mapping Digital Discourses of the Capital Region of Finland : Combining Onomastics, CADS, and GIS

This article discusses the three Finnish city names Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa, and the urban discourses that surround them. The study reveals patterns of socio-spatial differentiation by examining what meanings people attach to these capital region cities and investigating how these meanings are expressed in online discourses. Using the methodological approach of corpus-assisted onomastics (CAO), this study incorporates onomastics, geographical information systems (GIS), and corpus linguistics.
