Optimization and finite-frequency H ∞ control of active suspensions in in-wheel motor driven electric ground vehicles

Abstract In this paper, the parameter optimization and H ∞ control problem of active suspensions equipped in in-wheel motor driven electric ground vehicles are investigated. In order to better isolate the force transmitted to motor bearing, dynamic vibration absorber (DVA) is installed in the active suspension. Parameters of the vibration isolation modules are also optimized in order to achieve better suspension performances. As the human body is much sensitive to vibrations between 4 and 8 Hz, a finite-frequency state-feedback H ∞ controller is designed to achieve the targeted disturbance attenuation in the concerned frequency range while other performances such as road holding capability …

Abstract This paper proposes an intelligent method based on artificial neural networks (ANNs) to detect bearing defects of induction motors. This paper presents an application example using the lating nestling method for the fault diagnosis based in the use of coloured Petri nets, to a lubrication and cooling system in the wind turbinepsilas gearbox with a critical subsystem as far as failure probability. It demonstrate the synthesis capacity of the method for any model of diagnosis and isolation, giving as opposed to know the contributed advantages other methodologies, as those based in finite state machine.

A review of known magnetic-coupled current-sensing techniques is presented, Subsequently, a novel technique is introduced, based on a configuration discussed in a previous paper. The previous technique made use of a galvanomagnetic device (Hall effect sensor) to sense the magnetization of a current transformer core, so that the sum of the Hall voltage and the voltage across the secondary shunt resistor would yield a faithful copy of the input current. This paper investigates the detectability of rotor broken bars in double cage induction motors using current signature and vibration analysis techniques. Double cage induction motors are commonly used for applications where successive loaded starts-up are mandatory. A robust calibration methodology for an On-Board Diagnostic car system

New car models are now by law equipped with on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems aimed at monitoring the state of health of strategic components that ensure low levels of polluting exhaust emissions. During development phases, for each new car model, the OBD system must be finely calibrated. This article presents a robust calibration methodology taking into account sources of variability mainly due to production process, operating, and environmental conditions. The methodology enables us to evaluate the false alarm and failure to detect risks intrinsically related to the adopted calibration. An application concerning an upstream oxygen sensor monitored by the OBD is presented.
