Abstract We give a representation of any integer as a vector of the Witt ring W ( Z p ) and relate it to the Fermat quotient q ( n ) = ( n p − 1 − 1 ) / p . Logarithms are introduced in order to establish an isomorphism between the commutative unipotent groups 1 + p W ( Z p ) and W ( Z p ) .

Surfaces of minimal degree of tame representation type and mutations of Cohen–Macaulay modules

We provide two examples of smooth projective surfaces of tame CM type, by showing that any parameter space of isomorphism classes of indecomposable ACM bundles with fixed rank and determinant on a rational quartic scroll in projective 5-space is either a single point or a projective line. For surfaces of minimal degree and wild CM type, we classify rigid Ulrich bundles as Fibonacci extensions. For the rational normal scrolls S(2,3) and S(3,3), a complete classification of rigid ACM bundles is given in terms of the action of the braid group in three strands.

News media are increasingly interwoven with social media platforms. Building on institutional theory, we trace the repercussions of the platform infrastructure inside a media organization by focusing on organizational discourses and practices in connection with the journalistic use of social media. The empirical material includes interviews, field notes, chat logs, and documents collected from a public service media organization during a 6-month on-site and virtual ethnography. Summary In [6] partial graph mappings were formalized in the Mizar system [3]. Such mappings map some vertices and edges of a graph to another while preserving adjacency. While this general approach is appropriate for the general form of (multidi)graphs as introduced in [7], a more specialized version for graphs without parallel edges seems convenient. As such, partial vertex mappings preserving adjacency between the mapped verticed are formalized here.

Scandals provide an opportunity to generate more knowledge about the process in which organizational legitimacy can be restored. This article is based on a study of all scandals in the Swedish public sector from 1995-1997 and four case studies in four organizations conducted 2003. In scandals in the Swedish public sector, players in leading positions are linked to some transgression, often of a financial nature. In this paper we revisit a taxonomy of client-side IoT software architectures that we presented a few years ago. We note that the emergence of inexpensive AI/ML hardware and new communication technologies are broadening the architectural options for IoT devices even further. These options can have a significant impact on the overall end-to-end architecture and topology of IoT systems, e.g., in determining how much computation can be performed on the edge of the network.
