N/Z effects on40,48Ca+40,48Ca reactions at 25 MeV/nucleon

2012

Effects related to the neutron to proton ratio (N/Z) degree of freedom in 40, 48Ca+40, 48Ca reactions at 25 MeV/nucleon have been investigated. Isotopic effect and even-odd staggering characterize the emission of light fragments at forward angles. The study of isobaric ratio 7Li/7Be for quasi-projectile source in semi-peripheral event of reactions allows moreover to investigate isospin diffusion effects in heavy ion collisions. © Owned by the authors, 2012.

The low lying scalar resonances in the D0 decays into Ks0 and f0(500), f0(980), a0(980)

2015

Abstract The D 0 decay into K s 0 and a scalar resonance, f 0 ( 500 ) , f 0 ( 980 ) , a 0 ( 980 ) , are studied obtaining the scalar resonances from final state interaction of a pair of mesons produced in a first step in the D 0 decay into K s 0 and the pair of pseudoscalar mesons. This weak decay is very appropriate for this kind of study because it allows to produce the three resonances in the same decay in a process that is Cabibbo-allowed, hence the rates obtained are large compared to those of B ¯ 0 decays into J / ψ and a scalar meson that have at least one Cabibbo-suppressed vertex. Concretely the a 0 ( 980 ) production is Cabibbo-allowed here, while it cannot be seen in the B ¯ s 0 …

Study of the D*ρ system using QCD sum rules

2013

In this talk I present a study of the $D^* \rho$ system made by using the method of QCD sum rules. Considering isospin and spin projectors, we investigate the different configurations and obtain three $D^*$ mesons with isospin $I=1/2$, spin $S=0$, $1$, $2$ and with masses $2500\pm 67$ MeV, $2523\pm60$ MeV, and $2439\pm119$ MeV, respectively. The last state can be related to $D^*_2(2460)$ (spin 2) listed by the Particle Data Group, while one of the first two might be associated with $D^*(2640)$, whose spin-parity is unknown. In the case of $I=3/2$ we also find evidences of three states with spin 0, 1 and 2, respectively, with masses $2467\pm82$ MeV, $2420\pm128$ MeV, and $2550\pm56$ MeV.

Branching fraction and form-factor shape measurements of exclusive charmless semileptonicBdecays, and determination of|Vub|

2012

We report the results of a study of the exclusive charmless semileptonic decays, B0→π-l+ν, B+→π0l+ν, B+→ωl+ν, B+→ηl+ν, and B+→η′l+ν (l=e or μ) undertaken with approximately 462×106 BB pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector. The analysis uses events in which the signal B decays are reconstructed with a loose neutrino reconstruction technique. We obtain partial branching fractions in several bins of q2, the square of the momentum transferred to the lepton-neutrino pair, for B0→π-l+ν, B+→π0l+ν, B+→ωl+ν, and B+→ηl+ν. From these distributions, we extract the form-factor shapes f+(q2) and the total branching fractions B(B0→π-l+ν)=(1.45±0.04stat±0.06syst)×10-4 (combined π- …

Measurement of theB→πlνBranching Fraction and Determination of|Vub|with TaggedBMesons

2006

We report a measurement of the B ->pi center dot nu branching fraction based on 211 fb(-1) of data collected with the BABAR detector. We use samples of B-0 and B+ mesons tagged by a second B meson reconstructed in a semileptonic or hadronic decay and combine the results assuming isospin symmetry to obtain B(B-0 ->pi(-)center dot(+)nu)=(1.33 +/- 0.17(stat)+/- 0.11(syst))x10(-4). We determine the magnitude of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element vertical bar V-ub vertical bar by combining the partial branching fractions measured in ranges of the momentum transfer squared and theoretical calculations of the form factor. Using a recent lattice QCD calculation, we find vertical bar V-ub …

Review of Lattice QCD Studies of Hadronic Vacuum Polarization Contribution to Muon g-2

2019

Lattice QCD (LQCD) studies for the hadron vacuum polarization (HVP) and its contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment (muon g-2) are reviewed. There currently exists more than 3-sigma deviations in the muon g-2 between the BNL experiment with 0.5 ppm precision and the Standard Model (SM) predictions, where the latter relies on the QCD dispersion relation for the HVP. The LQCD provides an independent crosscheck of the dispersive approaches and important indications for assessing the SM prediction with measurements at ongoing/forthcoming experiments at Fermilab/J-PARC (0.14/0.1 ppm precision). The LQCD has made significant progress, in particular, in the long distance and finite volu…

Prediction of anI=1DD¯*state and relationship to the claimedZc(3900),Zc(3885)

2014

We study here the interaction of $D{\overline{D}}^{*}$ in the isospin $I=1$ channel in light of recent theoretical advances that allow us to combine elements of the local hidden gauge approach with heavy quark spin symmetry. We find that the exchange of light $q\overline{q}$ is Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) suppressed and thus we concentrate on the exchange of heavy vectors and of two pion exchange. The latter is found to be small compared to the exchange of heavy vectors, which then determines the strength of the interaction. A barely $D{\overline{D}}^{*}$ bound state decaying into ${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{c}\ensuremath{\rho}$ and $\ensuremath{\pi}J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ is found. At the same time we…

Prediction of hidden charm strange molecular baryon states with heavy quark spin symmetry

2019

We have studied the meson-baryon $S-$wave interaction, using coupled channels, in the isoscalar hidden-charm strange sector and $J^P = 1/2^-,3/2^-$ and $5/2^-$. We impose constraints of heavy quark spin symmetry in the interaction and obtain the non vanishing matrix elements from an extension of the local hidden gauge approach to the charm sector. The ultraviolet divergences are renormalized using the same meson-baryon-loops regulator previously employed in the non-strange hidden charm sector, where a good reproduction of the properties of the newly discovered pentaquark states is obtained. We obtain five states of $1/2^-$, four of $3/2^-$ and one of $5/2^-$, which could be compared in the …

Strangeness production inpp annihilation at rest and the quark ? diquark structure of nucleons

1988

The importance of approximate isospin selection rules observed inN¯ N annihilation at rest into two strange mesons is emphasized. The selection rules are traced back to a symmetry between amplitudes describing annihilation by the flux of quarks. Presumably the symmetry reflects the symmetry of ¯qq annihilation vertices. The relation of the symmetry to a quark — diquark substructure of the nucleon is discussed.

Hidden beauty baryon states in the local hidden gauge approach with heavy quark spin symmetry

2013

Using a coupled-channel unitary approach, combining the heavy quark spin symmetry and the dynamics of the local hidden gauge, we investigate the meson-baryon interaction with hidden beauty and obtain several new states of N around 11 GeV. We consider the basis of states eta (b) N, I'N, BI > (b) , BI pound (b) , B (*) I > (b) , B (*) I pound (b) , B (*) I pound (b) (*) and find four basic bound states which correspond to BI pound (b) , BI pound (b) (*) , B (*) I pound (b) and B (*) I pound (b) (*) , decaying mostly into eta (b) N and I'N and with a binding energy about 50-130 MeV with respect to the thresholds of the corresponding channel. All of them have isospin I = 1/2 , and we find no bo…
