The film El color del camaleón (2017) by Andrés Lübbert, which has great cinematic and content merits, can be considered as an important part of Chilean films on memory and post-memory. I focus on its contribution to Chilean memory and the reconstruction of the truth through the unveiling, in particular, of cruel methods of forced recruitment used by the dictatorship’s secret services. They were used as a further tool to instill terror in society, and as a way of submission and control of the population.

Can drawing be taken as an exploratory key to study a symbolic building of Italian Rationalism? This paper will attempt to do so on the Casa a ville sovrapposte in Via dell'Annunciata in Milan, designed by Figini and Pollini in the 1930s. This famous building could constitute the reversal of the established paradigm according to which rationalist buildings are always detached from the urban context of which they are part. The use of drawing as a cognitive tool can help us decode the complex of different instances underlying the design of this emblematic building of the early 20th century in Italy, including the designers’ intention to integrate nature into living, almost in an ante litteram…

I rapporti tra istituzioni religiose femminili, mecenatismo musicale e contesto urbano sono da tempo riconosciuti e ampiamente studiati. Nonostante ciò si è prestata scarsa attenzione alla situazione siciliana, in particolare alla città di Palermo. Il contributo intende sottolineare il ruolo che la produzione musicale riuscì a giocare nella proiezione concreta e metaforica delle voci delle donne nel mondo e nella società esterni. Ciò valeva sia per le istituzioni che si distinguevano per la clausura delle monache che ospitavano, sia per i conventi che sfidavano regole e regolamenti.
