Para llegar a la Problemgeschichte. Una introducción metodológica a la Historia del Problema

2018

This article analyses the methodological apparatus set forth by O. G. Oexle, in his mainlystudies Oexle’s works entitled L’historisme en debat: de Nietzsche a Kantorowicz, Krise desHistorismus, Krise der Wirklichkeit, and Das Problem der Problemgeschichte. This paperemphasizes the development of Oexle’s methodology, its theoretical implications and itsapplicability in the Latin American context. The consequences of this methodology for thesocial and natural sciences in contemporary academy remain of vital importance for thispaper.

El Estatuto de los Trabajadores Autónomos: cuadro comparativo entre las diversas propuestas articuladas en España

2005

This article draws comparisons between the various different proposals put forward for the creation of a self-employment law in Spain. The first of these proposals has been drawn up by an Expert Committee appointed by the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs and the other three, by organizations representing self-employed workers in Spain: the Professional Union of Self-employed Workers (Unión Profesional de Trabajadores Autónomos - UPTA), the Professional Association of Self-employed Workers and Businesspeople (Asociación Profesional de Empresarios y Trabajadores Autónomos - ASNEPA) and the National Federation of the Association of Self-employed Workers (Federación Nacional de la Asoc…

Fluticasone furoate maintains epithelial homeostasis via leptin/leptin receptor pathway in nasal cells

2014

Leptin is involved in the lung epithelial homeostasis. Its role in the nasal tract is largely unknown. Allergic rhinitis (AR) is induced by the allergen exposure leading to consequential structural abnormalities in the nasal epithelium. Topical corticosteroids are recommended as first-line therapy in AR. Parietaria pollen is one of the most important allergenic sources in the southern Europe. In vitro, in human nasal epithelial cell line RPMI 2650, we aimed to determine whether allergen stimulation acts on leptin/leptin receptor pathway and how fluticasone furoate (FF) influences this pathway. The effects of the major allergen recombinant Par j 1 (rPar j 1), of FF, of leptin, and of TGF-b1 …

The financial impact of Spanish pension reform: A quick estimate

2012

In this paper, we present a preliminary estimate of the financial impact of the recent reform of the Spanish pension system. After updating the projections of pension expenditure constructed in de la Fuente and Doménech (2010) for the period 2008-2060, we analyze the impact on this variable of raising the retirement age from 65 to 67 years, extending from 15 to 25 years the period over which wages are averaged to calculate the starting pension and increasing from 35 to 37 the number of contribution years required to obtain a 'full pension.' Conditional on a series of assumptions about the evolution of employment, productivity and demographics, our estimates suggest that these measures will …

Nandrolone decanoate interferes with testosterone biosynthesis altering blood-testis barrier components

2017

Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate whether nandrolone decanoate (ND) use affects testosterone production and testicular morphology in a model of trained and sedentary mice. A group of mice underwent endurance training while another set led a sedentary lifestyle and were freely mobile within cages. All experimental groups were treated with either ND or peanut oil at different doses for 6 weeks. Testosterone serum levels were measured via liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. Western blot analysis and quantitative real‐time PCR were utilized to determine gene and protein expression levels of the primary enzymes implicated in testosterone biosynthesis and gene expression leve…

Changes in the expression of neurotransmitter receptors in Parkin and DJ-1 knockout mice – A quantitative multireceptor study

2015

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a well-characterized neurological disorder with regard to its neuropathological and symptomatic appearance. At the genetic level, mutations of particular genes, e.g. Parkin and DJ-1, were found in human hereditary PD with early onset. Neurotransmitter receptors constitute decisive elements in neural signal transduction. Furthermore, since they are often altered in neurological and psychiatric diseases, receptors have been successful targets for pharmacological agents. However, the consequences of PD-associated gene mutations on the expression of transmitter receptors are largely unknown. Therefore, we studied the expression of 16 different receptor binding sites …

DJ-1 mutations and parkinsonism-dementia-amyotrophic lateral sclerosis complex.

2005

Mutations in DJ-1 gene have been recently shown to cause autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson’s disease (EOPD) in a large Dutch family and in a small consanguineous Italian family.1 Subsequent to this initial finding, several additional DJ-1 mutations were identified in subjects with EOPD.2–6 We describe a family from southern Italy with three brothers affected by a complex disorder characterized by early-onset parkinsonism-dementia-amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (EOPD-D-ALS). The analysis of the DJ-1 gene showed a novel homozygous mutation (E163K) in exon 7 and a novel homozygous mutation (g.168_185dup) in the promoter region of this gene in living affected subjects

Determining an unbounded potential for an elliptic equation with a power type nonlinearity

2022

In this article we focus on inverse problems for a semilinear elliptic equation. We show that a potential $q$ in $L^{n/2+\varepsilon}$, $\varepsilon>0$, can be determined from the full and partial Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. This extends the results from [M. Lassas, T. Liimatainen, Y.-H. Lin, and M. Salo, Partial data inverse problems and simultaneous recovery of boundary and coefficients for semilinear elliptic equations, Rev. Mat. Iberoam. (2021)] where this is shown for H\"older continuous potentials. Also we show that when the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map is restricted to one point on the boundary, it is possible to determine a potential $q$ in $L^{n+\varepsilon}$. The authors of arXiv:2202.0…
