A contribution to the linear programming approach to joint cost allocation: Methodology and application

Abstract The linear programming (LP) approach has been commonly proposed for joint cost allocation purposes. Within a LP framework, the allocation rules are based on a marginal analysis. Unfortunately, the additivity property which is required to completely allocate joint costs fails in presence of capacity, institutional or environmental constraints. In this paper, we first illustrate that the non allocated part can be interpreted as a type of producer’s surplus. Main drivers of consultancy services: A meta-analytic approach

Abstract This meta-analysis incorporates the results from 34 separate studies examining fee models for consultancy services whereby the consulting firm provides both audit and advisory services to its customers. The findings indicate a number of key determinants of consultancy bills: client size, audit fees, auditors being from a “Big Audit Firm,” client's financial difficulties, and prior experience with the legal auditors. A conjoint analysis of customers' preferences for e-banking channels

Internet has transformed the manner in which banks interact with the customers. The purpose of the paper is to measure customers' preferences towards different channel attributes namely: internet banking, mobile banking and payment portals at a composite level that reflect the relative importance of usage attributes, i.e., payment type, transaction size, motivation to use and rate of urgency. A review of negotiation outcome: A proposal on delimitation and subsequent assessment in joint venture negotiations

Abstract In this study, we examine the outcomes of negotiation processes in joint ventures. Following a review of negotiation and strategy literature, we propose that satisfaction with the relationship created between partners is the most suitable indicator of negotiation outcome. This indicator is analyzed through the use of two parameters or variables: trust and uncertainty. Accelerating Causal Inference and Feature Selection Methods through G-Test Computation Reuse

This article presents a novel and remarkably efficient method of computing the statistical G-test made possible by exploiting a connection with the fundamental elements of information theory: by writing the G statistic as a sum of joint entropy terms, its computation is decomposed into easily reusable partial results with no change in the resulting value. A lap joint simulant laboratory test method of aluminium alloys

A lap joint simulant cavity (LJSC) with a gap thickness of 200 μm has been developed to test corrosion of assembled coated aluminium alloys. The LJSC was instrumented with electrodes allowing simultaneous pH and potential measurements in 0.5 M NaCl solution. Assuming the outer part of the LJSC is electrochemically inactive (painted sheet) it was confirmed that in free corroding conditions the pH inside the LJSC tends more towards alkalinisation. On the opposite, if the outer part of the LJSC is electrochemically active (unpainted sheet) the pH inside the LJSC tends towards an acidic value.
