The Web Computer and Its Operating System: A New Approach for Creating Web Applications

Web applications require not only more sophisticated infrastructure than traditional single-PC applications, but also a different way of thinking, where network-specific aspects have to be considered. In this paper, we introduce the web computer concept, which factors out network-related issues and provides an illusion of a single computer with directly attached CPUs, memory, and I/O devices. Quittor, an obsolete disease

Quittor was a disease of the pastern and crown area of the ungulates. It was quite common in the horse until the early twentieth century. It was characterized by necrosis manifested by a mass, outward symptom of a phlegmon, which ulcerated and expelled necrotic tissue. The hippiatric healers and early veterinarians generally recognized four forms, the most dangerous was the necrosis of fibrocartilages of the foot. Treatment involved excision of the latter which involved a spectacular operating manual. Java virtuālās mašīnas vizualizācija

Java virtuālā mašīna ir abstrakta skaitļošanas mašīna, kura ļauj palaist Java programmēšanas valodā rakstītas programmas jebkurā datorā. Bakalaura darba ietvaros uzmanība ir pievērsta Java virtuālās mašīnas vizualizācijai, t.i., tajā notiekošo procesu atspoguļošanai. Lai ilustrētu Java virtuālās mašīnas sastāvdaļas un to savstarpējo saistību, teorētiskā daļā ir apskatīta Java virtuālās mašīnas arhitektūra. Praktiskajā daļā autore deva ieskatu esošajās pieejās – kā pārbaudīt, atkļūdot un saprast kompilācijas rezultātā izveidoto baitkodu, kā arī sniedza veidu, kā vizualizēt drazu savācēja darbības Java programmas darbības laikā.

Budžeta prognozēšanas un izpildes kontroles sistēma ļauj lietotājiem prognozēt un plānot uzņēmuma budžetu, kā arī sekot tā izpildei. Tās galvenais mērķis ir palīdzēt uzņēmuma vadībai būt informētiem par finanšu stāvokli un efektīvi izmantot uzņēmuma naudas līdzekļus. Sistēmas izstrādāšana vēl nav pabeigta, bet ir realizētā tās galvenā funkcionalitāte, kura ir aprakstīta šī darba ietvaros. Turklāt šī sistēma tiek aktīvi izmantota uzņēmuma (“Client Line”, SIA) vajadzībām. Sistēma tiek izstrādātā pēc spējās programmatūras izstrādes pieejas un programmprodukts ir sadalīts divās daļās – fasāde (frontend – Angular.js) un aizmugure (backend – Java, MSSQL, Glassfish).

Darbā pētītas vairākas dažādas metodes HTML5 canvas elementos zīmētās teksta informācijas iegūšanai no lietotāja puses, ļaujot tekstu iezīmēt, kopēt un padarot to pieejamu ekrāna lasīšanas programmatūrai, tādējādi uzlabojot tīmekļa vides lietojamību, it īpaši cilvēkiem ar redzes problēmām. Introduction: The negative minimal residual disease (MRD) after treatment has been recently accepted as endpoint for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) clinical trials. Conventionally, MRD can be detected by using multi-color Flow Cytometry (FC) with high sensitivity. Determination of the clonal immunoglobulin gene rearrangement can be a useful monitoring marker in a broad range of B-cell lymphoproliferative neoplasms.
