The originality of this Historical Geographic Information System (SIGH) is that it is focuses on various transport networks (road and railway) at several temporal scale (from 1975 to 2010). The corresponding spatial network offers the possibility to generate spatial and temporal matrices across France, at different dates. These possibilities open important spatial analysis perspectives. They allow for example to assess the effect of investments in high-speed transport supply on the durations of intercity trips, also multiple opportunity in the field of Regional Science and Complex Systems analysis.

Tämä tehdään siitä syystä, että halutaan löytää mahdollisimman tehokas tapa luoda samankaltainen sormenjälki kuin kohteen julkisen avaimen sormenjälki. Sormenjäljet lasketaan 2048-bittisistä RSA avaimesta neljällä eri tavalla, jotta selviäisi mikä niistä on aika- ja tallennustila-tehokkain. Aims. The collimation of relativistic jets in galaxies is a poorly understood process. Detailed radio studies of the jet collimation region have been performed so far in few individual objects, providing important constraints for jet formation models. However, the extent of the collimation zone as well as the nature of the external medium possibly confining the jet are still debated. Methods. School Bullying Through Graphic Vignettes : Developing a New Arts-Based Method to Study a Sensitive Topic

The purpose of this study was to develop a new arts-based measure assessing school bullying and to test it within a pilot study involving 19 schoolchildren (mean age = 15.4; range = 1.00). The researchers designed the new methodological tool (referred to as graphic vignettes) as a set of incomplete comic strips, which participants were asked to complete in a creative way. Researchers then invited participants to engage in follow-up interviews using completed comic strips as individualized interview prompts. The correct classification of airborne pollen is relevant for medical treatment of allergies, and the regular manual process is costly and time consuming. An automatic processing would increase considerably the potential of pollen counting. Modern computer vision techniques enable the detection of discriminant pollen characteristics. In this thesis, a set of relevant image-based features for the recognition of top allergenic pollen taxa is proposed and analyzed. Two non-conventional methods for the 3D digitization of transparent objects via non-contact measurement are reported in this thesis. 3D digitization is a well acknowledged technique for opaque objects and various commercial solutions based on different measurement approaches are available in the market offering different types of resolution at different prices. Since these techniques require a diffused or lambertian surface, their application to transparent surfaces fails. Indeed, rays reflected by the transparent surface are perturbed by diverse inter-reflections induced by the refractive properties of the object.
