Quenching of gA deduced from the β-spectrum shape of 113Cd measured with the COBRA experiment

A dedicated study of the quenching of the weak axial-vector coupling strength gA in nuclear processes has been performed by the COBRA collaboration. This investigation is driven by nuclear model calculations which show that the β-spectrum shape of the fourfold forbidden non-unique decay of 113Cd strongly depends on the effective value of gA. Using an array of CdZnTe semiconductor detectors, 45 independent 113Cd spectra were obtained and interpreted in the context of three nuclear models. The resulting effective mean values are g‾A(ISM)=0.915±0.007, g‾A(MQPM)=0.911±0.013 and g‾A(IBFM-2)=0.955±0.022. However, western monist positions have mostly explicitly or implicitly directed conservation strategies by defining the space of legitimate arguments, overlooking solutions that do not fit neatly the chosen approaches. A search for the production of three massive vector bosons in proton–proton collisions is performed using data at TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in the years 2015–2017, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 79.8 fb−1. Events with two same-sign leptons ℓ (electrons or muons) and at least two reconstructed jets are selected to search for . A measurement of off-shell Higgs boson production in the and decay channels, where ℓ stands for either an electron or a muon, is performed using data from proton–proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of TeV. The data were collected by the ATLAS experiment in 2015 and 2016 at the Large Hadron Collider, and they correspond to an integrated luminosity of . An observed (expected) upper limit on the off-shell Higgs signal strength, defined as the event yield normalised to the Standard Model prediction, of 3.8 (3.4) is obtained at 95% confidence level (CL). "Päihdyttävien juomien valmistamisesta ja käyttämisestä" : alkoholirikokset ja niiden kontrollointi Mikkelin seudulla 1895-1905

Pro gradu-tutkielmassa kartoitetaan, millaisia alkoholirikoksia Mikkelin seudulla tehtiin ja miksi, kuten myös miten näitä rikoksia kontrolloitiin ja valvottiin vuosina 1895–1905. Tarkemmiksi tutkimuskohteiksi on rajattu kolme eniten oikeuksissa näkynyttä rikosta: viinan salapolttaminen, laiton myyminen sekä juopuminen julkisella alueella. Pääasiallisina lähteinä tutkimuksessa on käytetty rikoshistoriassa keskeisiä oikeusistuinten pöytäkirjoja sekä näiden tukena aikalaissanomalehtiä. Edellä mainituista kolmesta rikoksesta oli tutkimusajanjakson aikana syytettynä yhteensä 338 henkilöä. Suurin osa syytetyistä oli miehiä.
