Design optimization for the quench protection of DTT's superconducting toroidal field magnets

Abstract The paper is focused on the optimal design of Fast Discharge Unit (FDU) for the quench protection of the Toroidal Field (TF) magnets of the Divertor Tokamak Test facility (DTT), an experimental facility under construction in ENEA Frascati Research Centre (Rome, Italy). The FDU is a safety key component that protects the superconducting magnets when a quench is detected through the fast extraction of the energy stored in the magnets by adding a discharge dump resistor (DR) in the TF magnets circuit. The functional significance of adult neural stem and progenitor cells in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory has been well documented. Although adult neural stem and progenitor cells in the subventricular zone are known to migrate to, maintain and reorganize the olfactory bulb, it is less clear whether they are functionally required for other processes. Anandamide inhibits IL-12p40 production by acting on the promoter repressor element GA-12: Possible involvement of the COX-2 metabolite prostamide E 2

The eCB [endoCB (cannabinoid)] system is being considered as a novel therapeutic target for immune disorders. Cytokines of the IL-12 (interleukin-12) family have essential functions in cell-mediated immunity. In the present study, we have addressed the mechanisms of action of the eCB AEA (anandamide) on the regulation of IL-12p40 in activated microglia/macrophages. We demonstrated that AEA can inhibit the expression of p35, p19 and p40 subunits, which form the biologically-active cytokines IL-12 and IL-23 in microglia stimulated with LPS (lipopolysaccharide)/IFNγ (interferon γ). The use of liquid metals as plasma facing components in tokamaks has recently experienced a renewed interest stimulated by their advantages in the development of a fusion reactor. Gravitational flow of a thin film of liquid metal in a strong magnetic field

Abstract The influence of a poloidal magnetic field of the spherical Tokamak on super thin (h ≈ 0.1 mm) film flow of liquid metal driven by gravity over the surface of the cooled divertor plate is addressed. Chaoskampf in the orthodox baptism ritual

The present article analyses the occurrence of the Chaoskampf motif in the Orthodox Baptism ritual and its biblical and Near-Eastern backgrounds. Such statements are direct references to Old and New Testament texts in which water has negative connotations, being associated with hostile or chaotic aspects of existence. In the baptismal interpretation of the biblical motif, sea, depths and dragons are figurative names for demons. The liturgical reinterpretation of these biblical references is the preamble of the baptismal exorcisms. Pētījuma mērķis ir uzzināt kāda ir literāro utopiju un antiutopiju izcelsme un to attīstība, kādas raksturīgās iezīmes ir atrodamas ievērojamu utopiju un antiutopiju autoru darbos, un, lai atklātu kuras iezīmes Lorijas darbam ir kopīgas ar Tomasa Mora, Tommazo Kampanellas un citu utopiju un antiutopiju autoru darbiem. Pētījumā tiek izmantotas satura analīzes, uzmanīga lasījuma, un interpretācijas metodes. Darba aktualitāti nosaka problēmas un grūtības pēc MK noteikumu Nr. 899 grozījumiem 2020. gada 1. aprīlī, ar kurām vēl joprojām ikdienas darbā saskaras Latvijas farmaceiti un farmaceita asistenti, kā arī Latvijas iedzīvotāji, kuri lieto valsts kompensējamos medikamentus.
