4066 Background: CheckMate 649 (NCT02872116) is a randomized, open label phase 3 study in first line (1L) GC/GEJC/EAC. Prespecified interim results showed statistically significant improvement in overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) for N+C vs C in all randomized pts and pts whose tumors expressed programmed death-ligand 1 combined positive score (CPS) ≥ 5. We present interim HRQOL results for CPS ≥ 5 pts, included as exploratory in the study. This article considers the epistemology of Classical rhetoric and Hippocratic medicine, focusing on two key terms: semeion and tekmerion. Through an analysis of the specific case of ancient Greek medicine and rhetoric, we hope to bring out the conjectural and fallible nature of human knowledge. The paper focuses on the epistemological and methodological affinity between these two ancient technai, and considers the medical uses of semeion and tekmerion in the light of their meaning in the rhetorical sphere. Although it might be reasonable to use this heuristic to navigate simple and unambiguous facts, it might be risky when searching for conflicting socio-scientific topics, such as potential measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Lewis acid-catalyzed Beckmann rearrangement of ketoximes in ionic liquids

Abstract The Beckmann rearrangement of five ketoximes was done in 17 different ionic liquids by using four Lewis acids. The effect of the type of cation and the type of anion in the ionic liquid on the rate of the rearrangement reaction and product composition is compared and discussed. The effects of the hydrophobicity and the hydrogen bonding ability of ionic liquids on the rearrangement of ketoximes were investigated, as well as the catalytical activity of the Lewis acids.

Behaviour of Nanomaterials in the Environment: A Study of Interaction between Humic Acids and Fullerene C60

Interaction between buckminsterfullerene and humic substances of different origin was investigated using fluorescence spectrometry as function of concentration of humic substances, pH and ionic strength. Binding constants of humic substances and buckminsterfullerene were calculated. It can be suggested that the complexation was driven by hydrophobic interaction depending on properties of the interacting compounds. Hydrophobic interaction model was indicated by linear Stern–Volmer plot, and high Kd values characterized interaction between buckminsterfullerene and humic acids. Bakalaura darbā „Ilūkstes 1. vidusskolas un Bebrenes profesionālās vidusskolas 8.-9. klašu informācijpratības līmenis” tika veikts pētījums par informācijpratības līmeņa novērtējumu pamatskolas pēdējās klasēs. Lai nonāktu pie rezultātiem, tika izmantotas dažādas pētniecības metodes - dokumentu analīze, intervijas, verbālais protokols. Pētījuma gaitā tika secināts, ka šo skolu skolēnu informācijpratības līmenis ir zems. Ietekmējošie faktori ir dažādi – gan skolēnu motivācija mācīties, gan arī pašu pedag…
