Bezpajumtnieki ir mūsdienu pilsētu sastāvdaļa, kur viņu darbības un dzīvesveids iespaido pilsētu ainavu, tāpēc ir nepieciešams izvērtēt viņu dzīves telpu un ikdienas prakses, lai spētu novērtēt šo ietekmi. Kā pētījuma vieta tika izvēlēta Rīgas pilsētas Maskavas forštates apkaime, kur ikdienā bieži var sastapt bezpajumtniekus. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, tika uzstādīti 4 uzdevumi un 3 jautājumi uz, kuriem pētījuma laikā tika rasta atbilde. Objectives This observational follow-up study investigated the associations of nutrition and body composition with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors, including pro-inflammatory biomarkers, in soldiers during a 6-month deployment. The adoption of carbohydrate-restrictive diets to improve health is increasing in popularity, but there is a dearth of research on individuals who choose to severely restrict or entirely exclude carbohydrates. The present study investigated the beliefs and experiences of individuals following a diet that severely limits, or entirely excludes, dietary carbohydrates, colloquially known as a ‘zero-carb’ diet, for at least 6 months.
