Fixed point results for $G^m$-Meir-Keeler contractive and $G$-$(\alpha,\psi)$-Meir-Keeler contractive mappings

In this paper, first we introduce the notion of a $G^m$-Meir-Keeler contractive mapping and establish some fixed point theorems for the $G^m$-Meir-Keeler contractive mapping in the setting of $G$-metric spaces. Further, we introduce the notion of a $G_c^m$-Meir-Keeler contractive mapping in the setting of $G$-cone metric spaces and obtain a fixed point result. Later, we introduce the notion of a $G$-$(\alpha,\psi)$-Meir-Keeler contractive mapping and prove some fixed point theorems for this class of mappings in the setting of $G$-metric spaces.
Parametric Design of Sailing Hull Shapes

The author presents an original algorithm aimed at automatically generating the hull shape of a sailing yacht starting from an initial set of parameters. The procedure consists of two steps. First one keel line and a Designed Water Line (DWL in the following) are faired according to a set of parameters, say length of water line, canoe body draft, stem angle and some adimensional coefficients. This information is then used to fair the hull surface, which must in turn fulfil more prerequisites (parameters like displaty cement, floatation area and related coefficients). In this chapter, I discuss the dissident poetics in Neuromaani (2012), an excessive Finnish experimental novel by Jaakko Yli-Juonikas (b. 1976). I examine how and what kind of, in-betweeness is produced in the novel that both harbours dissident literary modes and, at the same time, exposes the always-already murky undercurrents of the so-called mainstream and the current capitalist ‘system’. First, I introduce Neuromaani, its composition, themes, context, background and reception. After that, I lay out the theoretical background of my reading: the concepts of actual, virtual and repetition. The black block, a rectangle of black printing ink on the page of a book, surrounded by blank margins, is a peculiar graphic device. Its literary tradition has usually been considered to start from Tristram Shandy, which includes a renowned black page in memory of “poor Yorick”. Nevertheless, Sterne’s gimmick can be seen as an allusion to an older typographical tradition of the so-called mourning pages, which were featured in books remembering the departed decades before Tristram Shandy.
