Il lavoro analizza in che misura la diversità di genere fa parte delle attuali pratiche delle aziende sanitarie. Attraverso un’analisi di tipo statistico-inferenziale su un campione di 39 strutture ospedaliere appartenenti al Gruppo San Donato, ha lo scopo di valutare se la presenza delle donne nel CdA influenza la performance aziendale. In this article, I firstly argue that femicide is a word that indicates the psychological and physical violence against women because they belong to the female gender. I analyze in particular the femicide cases that took place in the border between Ciudad Juarez and Texas from 1993 until now, in addition to the cases on the border between Tijuana and Baja California. During this period more than 700 women were murdered in the border area between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, still the criminals of these brutal homicides are unknown. Tuttavia, un’analisi accurata dei testi rivela l’esistenza di una distribuzione funzionale, che si manifesta in modo coerente, sebbene non identico, nei diversi vernacoli. Es wird gezeigt, in welchem Maße diese Materialitäten daran mitwirken, dass sich bestimmte gesellschaftliche Kindheitsmuster und -erfahrungen ausbilden und wie material die Positionierungs- und Subjektivierungsprozesse von Kindern als Kinder gedacht werden müssen.
Imperfect information and consumer inflation expectations:evidence from microdata

This paper explores which factors trigger an adjustment in consumers’ inflation expectations and looks at the implications regarding forecast errors. We find support for imperfect information models, as inflation volatility and news trigger an adjustment in expectations. Furthermore, we document that individual expectations become more accurate if they have been adjusted.
The Structure and Behavioural Effects of Revealed Social Identity Preferences

A large body of evidence shows that social identity affects behaviour. However, our understanding of the substantial variation of these behavioural effects is still limited. We use a novel laboratory experiment to measure differences in preferences for social identities as a potential source of behavioural heterogeneity. Facing a trade-off between monetary payments and belonging to different groups, individuals are willing to forego significant earnings to avoid belonging to certain groups. We then show that individual differences in these foregone earnings correspond to the differences in discriminatory behaviour towards these groups. Two View Line-Based Motion and Structure Estimation for Planar Scenes

We present an algorithm for reconstruction of piece-wise planar scenes from only two views and based on minimum line correspondences. We first recover camera rotation by matching vanishing points based on the methods already exist in the literature and then recover the camera translation by searching among a family of hypothesized planes passing through one line. Unlike algorithms based on line segments, the presented algorithm does not require an overlap between two line segments or more that one line correspon- dence across more than two views to recover the translation and achieves the goal by exploiting photometric constraints of the surface around the line. Classifying Economics for the Common Good: Connecting Sustainable Development Goals to JEL Codes

How does economics research help in solving societal challenges? This brief note sheds additional light on this question by providing ways to connect Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) codes and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. These simple linkages illustrate that the themes of SDGs have corresponding JEL classification codes. As the mappings presented here are necessarily imperfect and incomplete, there is plenty of room for improvements. In an ideal world, there would be a JEL classification system for SDGs, a separate JEL code for each of the 17 SDGs.
