In the past decade, five whole-genome linkage scans have suggested genomic regions important to human intelligence; however, so far none of the responsible genes or variants in those regions have been identified. RESUMEN En este artículo se aborda la cuestión de China y los derechos humanos  desde la perspectiva que, según opinión común, constituye la base de esa cultura: el confucianismo. Una perspectiva que es analizada tanto desde su marco contextual como en sí misma, cotejándola con el concepto de derechos humanos. El resultado de todo ello lleva a la conclusión de que los derechos humanos son ajenos al confucianismo y por ello a la cultura china. Interrelation between close teacher-student relationships and engagement : the case of Finnish preschools

The study examined the interrelation between positive teacher-student relationships and teacher-reported level of engagement in Finnish preschool settings. Fifty preschool teachers working in Jyväskylä city area answered questionnaires in which they de-scribed 50 randomly selected students from their class (28 girls and 22 boys), one stu-dent for each teacher. Daher werden hier kurzfristige Wohlstandsveränderungen von Familien (hinsichtlich verfügbarem Haushaltseinkommen und Äquivalenzeinkommen) rund um die Geburt eines Kindes in längsschnittlicher Perspektive analysiert und auf ihre Ursachen untersucht. Parenthood and gender inequality : Population-based evidence on the child penalty in Finland

This study presents evidence on the effect of parenthood on labor market outcomes in Finland. We use population-based data drawn from administrative registers and an event study design centered around the birth of the first child using the specification proposed in Kleven et al. (2019b). The study confirms that women encounter large short- and long-term child penalties in gross labor earnings and that penalties are associated with employment participation. Taxes and social security transfers considerably reduce the child penalty, which also varies by the number of children. peerReviewed

This papers aims to present the opinions of 54 kindergarten pupils from Public Kindergarten in Chrząstowice in the Opolskie province regarding how they understand and interpret the concept of happiness. The pupils were asked a number of questions regarding happiness, being happy and/or unhappy, situations when they are either happy or unhappy. The research material was further subjected to a qualitative analysis.
