Selecting appropriate publication outlets is crucial to any researcher. Journal rankings can be used to guide the selection, but their usefulness may be limited for particular audiences. In this paper, it is argued that especially young researchers and researchers in interdisciplinary fields can benefit from targeting research efforts to a specific community. This can be facilitated by an individually built journal ranking that exploits a community building perspective and by a more transparent process of use. Columnar supramolecular architecture of crystals of 2-(4-Iodophenyl)-1,10-phenanthroline derived from values of intermolecular interaction energy

Using results of X-ray diffraction study supramolecular architecture of crystals of 2-(4-iodophenyl)-1,10-phenanthroline has been analyzed on the basis of quantum-chemical calculations of intermolecular interactions energy. It is demonstrated that these crystals have three levels of organization. Molecules form stacked dimers with the highest binding energy (first level). These dimers represent basic unit of infinite columns stabilized by stacking interactions between dimers (second level). The energy of intermolecular interactions between neighbouring stacked columns is very close. This does not allow to figure out any layers in the crystal. SUMMARY Sleep–wake problems are frequent, although unrecognized, complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Sleep disorders such as insomnia, sleep-disordered breathing and restless legs syndrome have all been reported in patients with ALS, despite the limited number of studies and the small populations investigated so far. Sleep disturbances gradually worsen with disease progression, suggesting a relationship between the severity of disease and the neurodegenerative process. The empirical basis of the minimal standard model has been consolidated in an impressive way, over the last seventeen years, by precision experiments at the meson factories. I illustrate this by means of selected examples of muonic weak interaction processes. I then describe an extension of Yang-Mills theory, inspired by noncommutative geometry, that yields precisely the standard model but fixes and explains some of its empirical input. In particular, this new approach yields a simple geometrical interpretation of spontaneous symmetry breaking. The algebraic framework of this approach offers a natural place for the lepton and quark matter fields and for inter-family mixing.

5052 Background: Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) in clinical stage I (CSI) are tumors confined to the testis without evidence of metastasis. Around 50% of all TGCT patients present with elevated serum tumor markers (TM) such as alpha-feto protein (AFP), beta-humanochoriongonadotropin (ß-HCG) and lactate-dehydrogenase (LDH). After ablatio testis, TMs usually return to normal according to half-life kinetics, however, in clinical stage IS (CSIS) TMs remain elevated or increase after surgery. The Impact of Internet and Social Media Use on Well-Being

The present research examines the longitudinal average impact of frequency of use of Internet and social networking sites (SNS) on subjective well-being of adolescents in Germany. Based on five-wave panel data that cover a period of nine years, we disentangle between-person and within-person effects of media use on depressive symptomatology and life satisfaction as indicators of subjective well-being. Additionally, we control for confounders such as TV use, self-esteem, and satisfaction with friends.
