Sand Play for 0–8-Year-Old Children’s Health and Development: A Systematic Review Protocol
2021
Sand play may be a significant determinant of health and development in early childhood, but systematically synthesised evidence is absent in the literature. The main objective of this study was to present a planned methodology to systematically review, and synthesise, the evidence regarding sand play and its associations with 0–8-year-old children’s health and development. The systematic review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocols statement was registered to PROSPERO (CRD42021253852). Literature searches will be conducted using information from eight electronic databases. Studies will be included when participating children were aged 0–…
Sustainable Working Life in a Swedish Twin Cohort : A Definition Paper with Sample Overview
2021
Background: A unified or consensus definition of “sustainable working life” remains lacking, although studies investigating risk factors for labour market exit are numerous. In this study, we aimed (1) to update the information and to explore a definition of “sustainable working life” via a systematic literature review and (2) to describe the working life trajectories via the prevalence of sickness absence (SA), disability pension (DP), and unemployment in a Swedish twin cohort to provide a sample overview in our Sustainable Working Life-project. Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted to explore the studies with the search phrase “sustainable working life” in PubMed, PsycInfo…
A systematic review of functional numeracy measures for 9–12 -year-olds: Validity and reliability evidence
2023
This systematic review aimed to summarize the characteristics and the measurement properties of functional numeracy measures developed for use by teachers among 9–12-year-old children with or without mathematical learning difficulties. A systematic search from five databases was conducted based on pre-defined criteria. PRISMA guidelines were followed for reporting the results. The terminology and classification of measurement properties adopted by the COSMIN taxonomy was used. Twenty-one studies of 18 measures met the inclusion criteria. Most of the identified measures did not report on several measurement properties due to incomplete or missing psychometric data. Knowledge of Mathematical …

Vuorovaikutus kasvokkaisissa vertaistukiryhmissä
2012
Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli systemaattisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen keinoin selvittää, miten kasvokkain kokoontuvien vertaistukiryhmien vuorovaikutusta on tutkittu, ja kuvata, mitä siitä on saatu selville. Katsaus kartoitti aiheenmukaista tutkimustietoa kooten, jäsentäen ja arvioiden tutkimusten aiheita, menetelmiä ja tuloksia. Vertaistukiryhmällä tarkoitettiin tässä yhteydessä mitä tahansa tietoisesti perustettua, vapaaehtoiseen vertaisuuteen perustuvaa ja kasvokkain kokoontuvaa ryhmää, jonka jäsenten elämästä löytyy jokin yhdistävä tekijä, jonka toiminta on jollain tasolla tavoitteellista ja joka tuottaa jäsenilleen sosiaalista tukea ja yhteisöllisyyden tunnetta. Ryhmän vuorovaikutuksella t…
视觉工作记忆中数量和精度的权衡关系是否受个体自发控制
2021
There is a negative correlation between the quality and quantity of memory representations in visual working memory, and this negative correlation is seen as a trade-off between quantity and quality. However, it is unclear whether this trade-off is entirely stimulus-driven or can be controlled voluntarily by individuals according to task demands, which has led to a debate on the mechanism of memory resource allocation. This paper systematically reviews the development of research on whether the trade-off between quantity and quality is subject to individual voluntary control, and point out this voluntary control is influenced by the exposure duration and working memory capacity, and some su…
Participatory research methods with young children : a systematic literature review
2023
This systematic literature review aimed to ascertain what participatory methods for young children have been used in peer-reviewed empirical articles. A systematic literature search yielded 75 articles. Based on their methodology, the studies were divided into six categories: (1) multi-method and the Mosaic approach, (2) observation and ethnography, (3) language-based methods, (4) visual methods, (5) creative and playful methods, and (6) children as co-researchers. The participatory features of these methods were then analyzed. The articles foregrounded the importance of the reflective use of methods, ethically grounded research practices, and carefully considering young children’s particip…
