Vacuum processed perovskite solar cells
2017
Single junction and tandem perovskite solar cells
2017

Social inclusion as a therapeutic and educational factor in a music therapy setting
2016
Inclusive approaches for children with special needs are applied in both the fields of music therapy and (music) education. In practice, inclusive music therapy groups consist only of children with special needs, whereas an inclusive kindergarten group for example may consist of typical and non-typical children, yet not in an actual therapy setting. Both practices hold explicit benefits for typical and non-typical children, however mutually exclusive of one another. The aim of the study is to explore the effects of social inclusion in a group consisting of typically and non-typically developing children within a music therapy setting. The focus lays on the therapeutic benefits for the speci…
Brain responses to speech sounds in infants and children with and without familial risk for dyslexia
2015
Dyslexia, a specific reading disability, runs in families. Therefore, the risk for a child to become dyslexic increases multifold if reading difficulties occur in the family. One risk factor for dyslexia is a deficit in speech perception. Using EEG, speech sound discrimination was found to be more demanding than non- speech discrimination in typical readers in Study I. In Study II, in children with dyslexia in 3rd grade, enhanced brain responses were observed and found to be associated with better performance in reading accuracy, spelling accuracy and phonemic length discrimination tasks. The brain responses of the most accurate readers in the dyslexia group originated from a more posterior…
Magnetic susceptibility of multiferroics and chemical ordering
2017
Magnetic susceptibility of two types of perovskite compounds A(Fe0.5M0.5)O3 A=Ba,Sr with M=Nb and Sb differing in the degree of chemical ordering was studied between 2 and 380 K. In the low temperature region, these compounds exhibit antiferromagnetic and spin-glass transition at T = 16−30 K. For the ordered compounds (M = Sb) the inverse susceptibility depends on T linearly up to the highest temperatures used. This enables the determination of the Weiss temperature θ and effective moment of the Fe3+ ion expressed by a number of Bohr magnetons, peff. In contrast to it, the compounds with M = Nb are characterized by a higher degree of the glassines and by a concave character of the inverse s…

The Importance of Electronic Dimensionality in Multiorbital Radical Conductors.
2019
The exceptional performance of oxobenzene-bridged bis-1,2,3-dithiazolyls 6 as single-component neutral radical conductors arises from the presence of a low-lying π-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital, which reduces the potential barrier to charge transport and increases the kinetic stabilization energy of the metallic state. As part of ongoing efforts to modify the solid-state structures and transport properties of these so-called multiorbital materials, we report the preparation and characterization of the acetoxy, methoxy, and thiomethyl derivatives 6 (R = OAc, OMe, SMe). The crystal structures are based on ribbonlike arrays of radicals laced together by S···N' and S···O' secondary bondin…
