Tutkimus tarkastelee lastenkirjojen kuvahahmoja esikouluikäisten lasten kertomana. Tutkimus selvittää, mitä esikouluikäiset lapset kertovat käsityksistään muumista, Peppi Pitkätossusta sekä Lumikista ja seitsemästä kääpiöstä ja kyseisten hahmojen erilaisista versioista. Lastenkirjat ovat osa lapsuutta ja aikuisten lapsille tuottamaa lastenkulttuuria. Lasten tiedetään yleisesti pitävän kuvista ja katselevan kuvia ennen kirjallisen lukutaidon kehittymistä. This article considers the meaning of the participants’ home as an interview context when studying sensitive family issues. The article is based on two qualitative family studies by the authors on foster children’s perspectives on their home and their family relations and client families’ experiences of preventive family support. Both studies address sensitive family issues, in particular Finnish child welfare. The first author’s interview data consist of interviews with foster children, social network maps and diaries and the second author’s data of interviews with six client families. Anecdotally, studies on athletic career development and/ or transition revealed that athletes tend to have difficulty immersing their lifestyle into the societal norm after the termination of their athletic career. This study aimed to clarify and deepen the knowledge on and understanding of the role that teachers’ practices during teacher-led learning sessions play in creating and enhancing social life in Finnish preschool classrooms. Observational data pertaining to 20 preschool teachers were analysed according to the principles of thematic analysis. Tutkimuksen tarkoitus oli selvittää alakoulun luokanopettajien käsityksiä ja kokemuksia koulussa käytössä olevasta kiusaamisen vastaisesta interventiomallista, KiVa Koulu -ohjelmasta tai Vaakamalli -koulutuksesta. Tarkoituksena oli myös selvittää, miten interventiomalli auttaa opettajia havaitsemaan ja ennaltaehkäisemään kiusaamista ja puuttumaan siihen. Lisäksi pyrittiin saamaan selville, mitkä asiat saavat opettajat sitoutumaan mallin käyttöön ja miten mallia koulujen arjessa toteutetaan.
