The article deals with the frontal of the basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi in Palermo made on the occasion of the centenary of the entrustment of the city of Palermo to the Immaculate Conception. The velvet and silver foil artefact is contextualized in the historical artistic production of the first thirty years of the eighteenth century. Iconographic and iconological analysis is also carried out.

Membrane potential and currents were investigated with the two-electrode voltage-clamp technique in Xenopus laevisoocytes expressing hCAT-2A or hCAT-2B, the splice variants of the human cationic amino acid transporter hCAT-2. Both hCAT-2A- and hCAT-2B-expressing oocytes exhibited a negative extracellularl-arginine concentration ([l-Arg]o)-sensitive membrane potential, additive to the K+diffusion potential, when cells were incubated in Leibovitz medium (containing 1.45 mM l-Arg and 0.25 mM l-lysine). Abstract Novel diorganotin(IV) derivatives of l -Arginine (HArg), N α -( tert -Butoxycarbonyl)- l -Arginine (Boc–Arg–OH) and l -Ala- l -Arg (H 2 Ala–Arg), H 2 NC( NH)NH(CH 2 ) 3 CH(NHR′)CO 2 H, where R′ = H in HArg, R′ = C(O)OC(CH 3 ) 3 in Boc–Arg–OH, R′ = H 2 NCH(CH 3 )CO in H 2 Ala–Arg and triorganotin(IV) derivatives of Boc–Arg–OH have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The complexes were investigated by FT-IR and 119 Sn Mossbauer in the solid state and by 1 H, 13 C, 119 Sn and 1 H– 1 H COSY NMR spectroscopy, in solution. <div> <p>This paper aims to retrace the Armenian Studies’ tradition in Venice. This tradition moved from the firsts scientific publications edited by the Mechitarist Congregation of San Lazzaro to Ca’ Foscari University’s first chair of Armenian Studies, led by father Levon Zekyan in 1976. During that year, Adriano Alpago Novello founded the Study and Documentation Centre of Armenian Culture that in 1992 moved from Milan to Venice. The present paper focuses on the legacy of Alpago Novello through the analysis of his working methods and results in the context of the history of Armenian art and architecture. Il contributo propone un approfondimento sul tema del libro d'artista attraverso l'esame di ACINQUE, un archivio di libri d'artista fondato nel 2018 da Giuseppe Mendolia Calella grazie a una open call rivolta a creativi attivi in diversi settori. ACINQUE costituisce un caso studio particolarmente interessante in seno al fenomeno del libro d'artista e vanta la partecipazione di autori di alto profilo; queste le ragioni del successo dell'iniziativa ancora in progress.
