Reflecting on Work Values with Young Unemployed Adults in Finland

In this article, we explore the internal conversations about the work values of young unemployed adults in Finland. We draw on the theoretical concept of internal conversation by Margaret Archer in order to shift the focus from the individual work values to the interplay between subjective concerns and structural circumstances. The data consist of six group interviews conducted among 29 young unemployed adults. A study in the functioning of the Voluntary Labour Corps], orders in a chronological way the knowledge on the activity of the organization of the Voluntary Labour Corps (VLC) in Poland. The author - taking advantage of the rich literaturę in the fields of pedagogy and sociology and discussing the results of his own studies - offers valuable information with reference to the share of the VLC in the work with the young who remain on the social margin and are socially maladjusted.

El objetivo del artículo es analizar los zero hours contracts en el Reino Unido. Son contratos donde el empleador no garantiza un mínimo de trabajo y el que ofrece su fuerza de trabajo puede rechazarlo. Se han extendido para todo tipo de profesiones no configuradas originalmente como freelance. Este artículo presenta los principales temas abordados por los economistas de la educación a lo largo de los últimos cincuenta años. Después de recordar brevemente los antecedentes de la disciplina, se describen las aportaciones teóricas y empíricas realizadas a raíz del desarrollo de la teoría del capital humano, que es el fundamento de la economía de la educación. Más allá de los trabajos que tratan de los efectos externos de la educación, el artículo repasa también las principales aportaciones efectuadas en el análisis de los sistemas de enseñanza y en la evaluación de las políticas educativas.
