Background & aims Obeticholic acid (OCA) is the second-line treatment approved for patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and an inadequate response or intolerance to ursodeoxycholic acid. International audience; Volcanoes are unstable structures that deform laterally and frequently experience mass wasting events. Hydrothermal alteration is often invoked as a mechanism that contributes significantly to volcano instability. We present a study that combines laboratory experiments, geophysical data, and large-scale numerical modeling to better understand the influence of alteration on volcano stability, using La Soufrière de Guadeloupe (Eastern Caribbean) as a case study. A new playing field : Changing logics in the use of spaces by Finnish sport clubs

Purpose: Using an institutionalist approach, this paper examines the changing logics in the organisational field of Finnish sport clubs. More specifically, the utilisation of physical spaces by sport clubs is investigated. Research methods: Data were collected by conducting semi-structured interviews with 26 sport clubs from the Central Finland region and by obtaining club documents. Findings: Sport club’ expectations of spaces have diversified. Abstract Study aim: While there is wide debate around specialization in one sport, there is a lack of information about fitness levels and motor competence of children participating in single or multiple sports. Material and methods: The study involved 358 fifth-grade children who participated in a set of health-related fitness and motor competence tests over two consecutive years. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitetään aineistopohjaisen analyysin avulla, mikä saksalaisen rintamalehden Lappland-Kurierin uutisaineiston antama viesti oli ja miten se suhteutuu Saksan sotapropagandaan ja Lapin saksalaisten joukkojen taistelumotivaation ylläpitoon. Toisin sanoen aineistopohjaisella analyysillä testataan tässä tutkimuksessa, miten Saksan kolmannen valtakunnan keskeiset teemat näkyivät Lappland-Kurierissa. Aineistopohjaisessa analyysissa lähdeaineisto käydään ensin läpi ilman ennakkohypoteesia, sitten aineisto jaetaan sieltä esiin nouseviin teemoihin. Pro gradu -tutkielmani tarkastelee Lapin sodan käsittelyä kahdeksassa suomalaisessa lehdessä 1950-luvulta 1990-luvulle saakka ajanjaksoina, jolloin sodan merkittävistä tapahtumista oli kulunut pyöreitä vuosia. Tarkastelen työssäni sodalle annettua palstatilaa erilaisten luokittelujen avulla selvittääkseni ensinnäkin sitä, millä tavoin tapahtunut ylipäänsä näkyy lehtien sivuilla. Tämän lisäksi teen vertailua eri lehtien ja aikakausien välillä sekä selvitän syitä, jotka ovat vaikuttaneet lehtien sotaa koskevaan kirjoitteluun. Zīmola identitātes analīze korporatīvajā mājaslapā

Šis pētījums analizē “airBaltic” zīmola identitātes atspoguļojumu uzņēmuma korporatīvajā mājaslapā. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādu vēstījumu ieinteresētajām pusēm pauž valodas lietojums trijās korporatīvās mājaslapas sadaļas. “airBaltic” nostāja tika analizēta, ņemot vērā kultūras un sociālus apsvērumus. Empīriskajā daļā tika izmantots trīsdimensionālais modelis, kas ir balstīs Normana Fērklova (1992) teorijās un izpratnē par kritisko diskursa analīzi. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina par vērā ņemamām pretrunām sensitīvos jautājumos un nekonsekvenci sociālo attiecību dimensijā. Konstatētie rezultāti norāda uz paviršu attieksmi pret klientiem un topošajiem darbiniekiem.
