To evaluate if repeated flicker-defined form (FDF) perimetry can detect visual field (VF) defects in glaucoma suspects with normal findings in achromatic standard automated perimetry (SAP).Patients with optic nerve heads (ONHs) or retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) findings clinically suspicious for glaucoma and normal SAP were enrolled. The aim of this study was to assess the extent of this impact and its mechanisms on a sample of adults living in Italy during the first lockdown (April–May 2020). Objectives: To evaluate the effect of informed consent format on preoperative anxiety of patients. Material and Methods: We performed a prospective study (91 patients) undergoing lower third molar extraction. Patients were distributed into three groups. Informed consent for surgery was obtained through a written document, an oral interview or a video recording. Afterwards, patients were asked about their anxiety level and the effect the informed consent had had on it. ABSTRACT Using ground-based data, meteorological observations, and atmospheric environmental monitoring data, a comparative analysis of the microphysical and optical properties, and radiative forcing of aerosols was conducted between three stations in different developed environments during a severe air pollution episode during the Spring Festival over Beijing. Effects of ATP, adenosine and purinoceptor antagonists on field stimulation-evoked (3 Hz, 2 min) [3H]-noradrenaline overflow were investigated in the rat isolated iris. ATP and adenosine inhibited the evoked overflow of [3H]-noradrenaline. 1,3-Dipropyl-8-cyclopentylxanthine (DPCPX) shifted the concentration-response curve of ATP to the right in a concentration-dependent manner, but with a potency (-log KB = 7.88) much lower than expected for an A1 adenosine receptor.
