Abstract A new ether lipid core (designated as FU) was found in Methanothermus fervidus total lipid. Comparison with caldarchaeol showed lower mobility of FU on TLC and smaller molecular weight (m/z 1298) by 2 mass units on FAB-MS. Treatment of FU with HI followed by displacement with silver acetate afforded long chain alcohol acetate (ROAc), which was further saponified with mild alkali to its free alcohol (ROH). ROH is the long chain alcohol prepared from FU. The molecular weights of ROAc and ROH were shown by MS to be 1354 and 1186, respectively. Actinomycetes have the genetic capability to synthesize many different biologically active secondary metabolites and of these compounds, antibiotics predominate in therapeutic and commercial importance. Intensive research often centres on the use of molecular techniques to investigate the physiology and genetics of antibiotic biosynthesis with a view to improving production. Incluye la descripción del cuestionario, su proceso de elaboración y su estructura factorial, así como los resultados de los análisis de fiabilidad y validez realizados. Finalmente, se adjunta el texto de los treinta ítems que componen la escala.
Characterization of Fusion Lines Obtained with Laser Welding on Ductile Iron Plates

This paper studies the ductile iron (DI) weldability using laser welding. For performing an Yb:YAG continuous laser was used, with a maximum power of 6 kW. The parametrical window power (P) - welding speed (S) was explored by carrying out the fusion lines on ductile iron plates without preheating, to determinate areas of weldability (complete penetration, correct geometry) to allow further characterization. The criteria for selection of focus areas were the geometry of the fusion lines and the absence of the welding defects. Este trabajo examina el papel de los factores sociodemográficos como determinantes de las creencias y actitudes sexistas y las percepciones distorsionadas sobre el amor romántico, y analiza la relación entre el sexismo hostil y el sexismo benevolente y las creencias en mitos del amor romántico, según el Índice de Desigualdad de Género (idg), en una muestra de 203 adolescentes latinoamericanos residentes en Valencia (España).
