Exploring the conceptual framework and measurement model of intrinsic capacity defined by the World Health Organization: A scoping review

WHO has defined intrinsic capacity (IC) as the composite of all physical and mental capacities of an individual covering five subdomains: cognition, locomotion, sensory, vitality, and psychological. Despite this well accepted definition, the conceptual and measurement model of IC remains unclear, which hampers a standardized operationalization of the construct. We performed a scoping review to give a comprehensive overview of the extent to which the current literature of IC addresses and assumes the conceptual framework and measurement model of IC as reflective or formative. Abstract Objective To compare colorectal cancer (CRC) incidences in carriers of pathogenic variants of the MMR genes in the PLSD and IMRC cohorts, of which only the former included mandatory colonoscopy surveillance for all participants. Methods CRC incidences were calculated in an intervention group comprising a cohort of confirmed carriers of pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants in mismatch repair genes (path_MMR) followed prospectively by the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database (PLSD). Artykuł podejmuje próbę interpretacji przebiegu i rezultatów dialogu luterańsko-rzymskokatolickiego jako wzajemnego odkrycia, że konfesyjnie uwarunkowane dziedzictwo doktryny i wiary jest wyrazem „katolickości” Kościoła. W tym celu dokonano najpierw syntetycznej analizy pojęcia katolickości w perspektywie historycznej i ekumenicznej oraz odniesiono się do problemu konfesjonalizacji chrześcijaństwa. Proces ten nastąpił zwłaszcza w okresie poreformacyjnym i skutkował zawężeniem ujęć chrześcijańskiej doktryny w podzielonych Kościołach oraz utratą ich zdolności do akceptacji „katolickiej” wielości i różnorodności. AbstractThe study aims to gain a better understanding on how curriculum making regulated by reform’s implementation strategy contributes to teachers’ and teacher communities perceived curriculum coherence, and further to the impact that reform has on school development. The two-level path modelling was utilised for analysing clustered data including the 75 schools and 1556 individual teachers from these schools during the most recent Finnish core curriculum reform. The article discusses how a variety of qualitative methods could be used for investigating the engagement of the voices on the ground, where the change is expected to happen. It also reviews how qualitative research approaches involve students and teachers, the so-called “target groups” of educational development, as subjects, rather than objects. The qualitative methods are presented here for their potential in engaging the voices on the ground. Bakalaura darbā aprakstīta lāzerskenēšanas datu izmantošana un apstrādāšanas metode Baltijas ledus ezera krasta līniju noteikšanai ĢIS vidē, izmantojot 4 datu apstrādes programmas: Bentley Microstation v8i – TerraScan, Surfer 10, Global Mapper 16 un ArcMap 10. Tämän kvalitatiivisen tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millaisia puutteita alaisten kielitaidossa on hotellialalla ja miten kielitaitoa voidaan parantaa esimiestyön avulla. Lisäksi tutkimus pyrki selvittämään, onko alalla tapahtunut muutoksia kielitaidon tarpeen suhteen viime vuosien aikana ja onko tähän reagoitu henkilöstöjohtamisen osalta. Tutkimusaineisto koostui kuuden esimiesasemassa toimivan henkilön suomenkielisestä teemahaastattelusta. Norge har en god likestillingspolitikk, som er forankret i lovverk. Likevel har de fleste lederposisjoner lav kvinnerepresentasjon, noe som reiser flere spørsmål. Kjønnsforskning om kvinners posisjon i næringslivet oppfattes å være forholdsvis begrenset. Det foreligger flere forklaringer på hvorfor kvinner er underrepresentert i toppstillinger og studier viser store variasjoner og ingen entydige svar.
