The conservation status of Alessioporus ichnusanus is discussed considering new insights emerged from the IUCN global assessment. New locations were identified and Italy is confirmed as the center of distribution of this species. According to the IUCN categories and criteria, A. ichnusanus is assigned to the category Vulnerable C2a(i).

The system proposed in this study relies on a WAVE P2P network, which is a proper standard to fit the vehicular environment wireless communications requests. Part 1: Cross-Domain Conference and Workshop on Multidisciplinary Research and Practice for Information Systems (CD-ARES 2013); International audience; Many Smart Grid installations rely on General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) for wireless communication in Advanced Metering Infrastructures (AMI). In this paper we describe security functions available in GPRS, explaining authentication and encryption options, and evaluate how suitable it is for use in a Smart Grid environment. We conclude that suitability of GPRS depends on the chosen authentication and encryption functions, and on selecting a reliable and trustworthy mobile network operator.

Galvanic deposition of Hydroxyapatite/Chitosan/Collagen coatings on 304 stainless steel

The galvanic deposition method was used to deposit Hydroxyapatite/Chitosan/Collagen coatings on 304 stainless steel. Galvanic deposition is an alternative and valid way to fabricate bio-coatings with high biocompatibility and good anticorrosion properties. Physical-chemical characterizations were carried out to investigate chemical composition and morphology of the samples. Coatings consist of a mixture of calcium phosphate (Brushite and Hydroxyapatite) with chitosan and collagen. Corrosion tests were performed in the simulated body fluid (SBF) after different aging times.
