We studied the influence of sexual selection on spatial distribution, female-to-male body size ratio, and female mating success of acanthocephalans in a natural host population of Saimaa ringed seal (Phoca hispida saimensis) harbouring a single intestinal helminth species, Corynosoma magdaleni. The hairy elbows syndrome (HES) is a rare congenital phenotype characterized by an abnormal increase in long hairs localized on the upper limbs extensor surfaces. This feature is often associated with short stature, facial asymmetry, dysmorphisms, intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), and mental and speech delay. We report a case with hypertricosis cubiti associated with infantile spasms, behaviour disorders and cerebral hemisphere asymmetry. Hopelessness is a key element of suicidal intent. It can instill a pessimistic outlook on the future, leading an individual to believe that suicide is the only answer to their problems. Hopelessness operates as a modulating variable between depression and suicidal behavior. Comparison of actual and imagined execution of whole-body movements after a long exposure to microgravity

Five cosmonauts were tested 30 days before a six-month space flight and also on the 2nd and the 6th day after their return to Earth. Cosmonauts performed and imagined a task that involved climbing two stairs to step onto a platform, jumping down with both feet and walking normally for a distance of 4 m. Durations of actual and imagined movements were measured by an electronic stopwatch. Results indicated that cosmonauts performed actual and imagined movements with similar durations before and after the space flight. Restless legs syndrome in a patient with multifocal motor neuropathy

Restless legs syndrome (RLS) has been frequently reported in association with peripheral neuropathy, and it is especially frequent in some forms of polyneuropathy with preferential involvement of small sensory fibers. Here, we describe a patient with multifocal motor neuropathy, who developed RLS during the course of the disease. Our findings support the notion that RLS may develop in the context of immune-mediated neuropathies and it should be specifically investigated even in those patients with preferentially or exclusive motor involvement.
