Varhennettua kieltenopetusta vai kaksikielistä toimintaa? : varhaisen kieltenopetuksen puurot ja vellit

2018

Mistä varhennettu kieltenopetus alkaa? Onko kaksikielinen opetus varhennettua kieltenopetusta? Milloin kielikylpy muuttuu kielisuihkuksi? Onko muualla kuin kielten tunneilla tapahtuva kielten opetus kieltenopetusta? Tarkastelemme kirjoituksessamme kieltenopetuksen varhentamista Suomessa erityisesti suhteessa kaksikieliseen toimintaan. Tarkoituksenamme on selkeyttää kieltenopetuksen varhentamisen sekä kaksikielisen opetuksen rajapintoja ohjaavien asiakirjojen näkökulmista. nonPeerReviewed

Tietokonevallankumous ja ohjelmoinnillinen ajattelu peruskoulussa : havaintoja mikro- ja makrotasoilta

2022

Väitöskirjassa tutkitaan ”ohjelmoinnilliseksi ajatteluksi” lanseeratun tieto- ja taitokokonaisuuden oppimista, opettamista ja arviointia perusopetuksessa. Tämän erityisesti ohjelmoinnin kautta opittavan osaamiskokonaisuuden tuloa koulumaailmaan on kiihdyttänyt ennen kaikkea tietokoneiden ja tietokoneohjelmien kasvanut läsnäolo eri elämänalueilla. Ohjelmoinnillinen ajattelu on kuitenkin ollut jokseenkin hajanaisesti ymmärretty aihepiiri kasvatusalalla, mistä kielii muun muassa sen varsin suppea jalansija peruskoulumme opetussuunnitelmassa. Väitöstutkimuksessa selkeytettiinkin ohjelmoinnillisen ajattelun kasvatustavoitteita määrittelemällä aihealueen opetuksen perusprinsiipit. Tutkimuksen kes…

Italiani in Perú fra Otto e Novecento: marinai, commercianti, imprenditori di origine ligure

2015

Genomic evolution of bacterial populations under co-selection by antibiotics and phage

2017

Bacteria live in dynamic systems where selection pressures can alter rapidly, forcing adaptation to the prevailing conditions. In particular, bacteriophages and antibiotics of anthropogenic origin are major bacterial stressors in many environments. We previously observed that populations of the bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens SBW25 exposed to the lytic bacteriophage SBW25Φ2 and a noninhibitive concentration of the antibiotic streptomycin (coselection) achieved higher levels of phage resistance compared to populations exposed to the phage alone. In addition, the phage became extinct under coselection while remaining present in the phage alone environment. Further, phenotypic tests indicate…

Can Oscillatory Alpha-Gamma Phase-Amplitude Coupling be Used to Understand and Enhance TMS Effects?

2019

Recent applications of simultaneous scalp electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) suggest that adapting stimulation to underlying brain states may enhance neuroplastic effects of TMS. It is often assumed that longer-lasting effects of TMS on brain function may be mediated by phasic interactions between TMS pulses and endogenous cortical oscillatory dynamics. The mechanisms by which TMS exerts its neuromodulatory effects, however, remain unknown. Here, we discuss evidence concerning the functional effects on synaptic plasticity of oscillatory cross-frequency coupling in cortical networks as a potential framework for understanding the neuromodulatory effects o…

Ecouter Bernart de Ventadorn. Lecture de quatre unica musicaux: BdT 70.42 (X), 24 (W), 17 (G) et 25 (R)

2017

In this work we address the characterization of the character of Fadrique in the Philosophia Antigua Poetica and his identification with the Valencian humanist Fadrique Furio Ceriol. Through this characterization we will approach his personal and vital traits, his activities and his proximity to a literary circle in the last 10 years of his …

Disumano, troppo umano.

2019

Tyranny is often regarded as "a perennial problem" (Boesche 1996) on the basis of its ubiquitous presence in literature. Even more enduring is the problem of how to define human nature, its place in the environment, and its relationship to the divine – a core issue of philosophical anthropology (Pansera 2001, Honenberger 2015). In the present paper, I shall approach the literary construction of the tyrant figure in Greek and Roman tragedy from the holistic perspective of philosophical anthropology. I will focus on three well-known dramas (Sophocles’ Oedipus the King and Antigone and Seneca’s Thyestes) which put great emphasis on the moral and cognitive status of tyrants as “exceptional” hum…
